Today the sneaker we will be taking a look at is the Kith X Nike Air Force 1 Low!

**Please skip to the conclusion for the need-to-know about the release**

Releasing on July 4th with a retail of $120, this sneaker is a huge buy for this season.

Dressed in a White, University Red, and Metallic Gold color scheme. This Air Force 1 features a White leather upper, debossed “KITH” branding on the sides paired with red contrasting accents throughout.

A Japan-inspired branded tongue, Gold lace tips atop a vintage-styled rubber sole completes the design.

In order to get a better idea of what the resell on this sneaker will be, let’s take a look at some similar sneakers that have already released!

First up: the Nike Air Force 1 Low Supreme White

This Air Force 1 Low is comprised of an all-white leather upper with matching soles and detailing.

A red Supreme Box Logo placed on the outside heel and alternate red branded 3M laces complete the design.

These sneakers released on March 5th of 2020 and retailed for $96.

This is a perfect sneaker to compare with the Kith AF1 because in both shoes we see a well-known company/brand collaborating on an Air Force 1.

Despite the fact that Supreme is much bigger than Kith in terms of resale – the sneaker provides valuable insight.

This season’s Supreme x Nike Air Force 1 sold out almost immediately upon its release, leaving many sneakerheads unable to get their hands on a pair of the hyped sneakers.

The sneaker released in both white and black colorways – we’ll be looking at the aftermarket of both.

For the white pair, we’ve seen over 1,600 sales on StockX with an average resale price of $242 (almost $150 profit!)

For the black pair, we’re looking at 5,100 sales with a price premium of 187.5% over the retail price.

Secondly, the Nike Air Force 1 Low Travis Scott Cactus Jack

Travis Scott and Nike added a new design to their growing Air Force arsenal with the Air Force 1 Low Travis Scott Cactus Jack.

After a year of sneaker world dominance, Nike is adding a twist to their latest collaborative AF 1 with Cactus Jack.

This new design features a never before seen detachable lace cover that encloses with a heavy brass zipper.

This Travis AF-1 features a patchwork upper comprised of camouflage, corduroy, duck canvas, flannel, leather, suede, and wool.

Unmistakable Cactus Jack emblems are placed throughout the silhouette. A sail midsole and gum rubber outsole complete the design.

These sneakers released in November of 2019 and retailed for $160.

This sneaker gained an unbelievable amount of hype all because of Travis. He’s has turned himself into an icon in the sneaker and streetwear world.

Anything he wears instantly becomes a new fashion trend, he’s that influential.

These Air Forces have reflected that with over 1,200 sales on StockX with an average resell price of $626!

Finally, the Nike Air Force 1 Low NYC Kith.

The Nike Air Force 1 Low Retro ‘NYC’ celebrates one of the most dynamic cities in the world with a jet-black leather upper befitting New York’s no-nonsense edge.

A white outlined Swoosh hits the midfoot, while an embroidered NYC logo graces the heel counter.

An encapsulated Air unit cushions atop a concentric rubber outsole.

This sneaker was one of the first Nike X Kith collaborations, and the resale market hasn’t actually turned out well.

On StockX there has only been 7 sales. Keep in mind this sneaker released in 2016, so 7 sales could be considered measly.

With an average resale price of $125, it doesn’t make for much of a profitable sneaker.

However, this sneaker is the only Air Force collaboration that Kith has done, and therefore is important to talk about.

In the next paragraph, I will explain how I think the Tokyo version will do much better than the NYC version!

When looking at how well this sneaker would do in the resell market, I had to consider many different aspects.

This shoe is really interesting when it comes to the reselling price.

At first glance, everyone would say Kith doesn’t have the same influence as someone like Travis Scott or Supreme, and I would totally agree.

Those sneakers resell value is 100% fueled by their influence and what they bring to the culture, I don’t see Kith having that same influence.

But what’s interesting about this is that it is a Tokyo exclusive.

This model will be released exclusively at the Kith Tokyo flagship on July 4th. It will not release online nor at any other Kith shop.

The Travis AF1 and the Supreme AF1 are both extremely accessible sneakers for those of us in the United States.

Since most of the resell market is based in the US, those sneakers will generally resale for less than they would outside of the country.

That also works vice-versa with sneakers that release outside of the country, higher demand takes place.

Overall, with the sneakers being so limited and the colorway being the perfect colorway for summer, I see these sneakers reselling early for $1000 and then dropping to the $700 range.

CONCLUSION:

Release Date: July 4th
Retail Price: $120
Average Resale Value: $700 – $1000
Retailers: Kith Tokyo
