Best Jordan and Nike Sneakers So Far of 2023

#1 Air Jordan 3 White Cement Reimagined

  • Retail Price: $210
  • Estimated Resell: $300+
  • Release Date: Saturday, March 11th, 2023
  • Colorway: White/Fire Red/Black/Cement Grey
  • Style Code: DN3707-100
Air Jordan 3 White Cement Reimagined

The Air Jordan 3 was slacking when it came to resale performance in the past couple of years, but Jordan Brand hits us with a potentially huge release of an OG colorway! The next shoes will follow in the footsteps of the Air Jordan 1 Reimagined “Chicago” which will be released in October as part of Jordan Brand’s Spring 2023 vintage line. Only mock-up photos of the next silhouette by Tinker Hatfield have leaked, but a few elements are anticipated.

The quality of the pair is greater than that of regular retros, with the leather coming with fake “cracking” to make them seem like pairs from 1988. The generally flawless white eyelets, panels at the spine, and midsoles are anticipated to have a subtle yellow tinge for an “aged” appearance akin to the innumerable customizations that have swamped social media feeds over the last two and a half years.

The “Fire Red” and “Cement Grey”-colored Jordans will become closer to their original counterparts with the addition of “NIKE AIR” writing, which is also predicted to appear at the heel. Although the company hasn’t officially announced a Nike SNKRS release date for the Jordan 3 Reimagined, trustworthy sources suggest that the “White Cement” pair will be on sale on March 11, 2023. These sneakers are very highly anticipated, and I expect a resale value of north of $300 per pair.

#2 Air Jordan 4 Retro Thunder (2023)

  • Retail Price: $210
  • Estimated Resell: $350
  • Release Date: Saturday, May 13th, 2023
  • Colorway: N/A
  • Style Code: DH6927-017
Air Jordan 4 Thunder 2023

It’s been a little over ten years since we last saw the Air Jordan 4 “Thunder,” much like the “Playoffs” 13. Black nubuck is used extensively in the original 2006 colorway, matching the color of the support wings, midsole, lacing unit, and other components. To emphasize certain areas of the side walls, the layers behind the netting, and some other elements nearby, pop off the named yellow and are then strategically dispersed throughout the shoe. If stock is relatively limited, you can expect a resale value of around $350 per pair.

#3 Air Jordan 1 High OG Celtic (2023)

  • Retail Price: $180
  • Estimated Resell: $300+
  • Release Date: Summer 2023
  • Colorway: Black/Lucky Green-White
  • Style Code: DZ5483-031 (men)
Air Jordan 1 High Og Celtics

The Air Jordan 1 Retro High Celtics and its Bred cousin were first launched as part of the 2009 DMP Pack. The two were essentially mutually exclusive for sneakerheads. Fans of the Celtics may celebrate the “OG” release of the Air Jordan 1 Retro High Celtics in the summer of 2023, which has “Nike Air” branding on the tongue tags and insoles. This Jordan 1 High honors Michael Jordan’s 63-point outburst against the Boston Celtics in April 1986 by combining Lucky Green overlays and white tumbled leather underlays.

Luxurious black leather covers the toe guard and shoe collar to complete the top. Moving down the silhouette, the outsole contrasts a Lucky Green treaded outsole with the iconic white rubber midsole of the Jordan 1. It’s worth noting that these will be as authentic as they come; therefore, this time, there won’t be a Jump Man on the back heel. The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Celtics will be available in a complete family size run in Summer 2023 for $180 in men’s sizes, $140 for GS, $85 (PS), and $70 (PS) (TD).

The closest thing to them on the market right now is the Air Jordan 1 High Lucky Green which was released in women’s sizing in 2020 and was very popular. They also sold for almost double the retail price. I expect resale to be over $300 for these shoes in men’s sizes. I would not sleep on the GS sizes, either!

#4 Air Jordan 5 UNC (2023)

  • Retail Price: $225
  • Average Resell: $350+
  • Release Date: Saturday, March 4th, 2023
  • Colorway: University Blue-Black
  • Style Code: DV1310-401
Air Jordan 5 UNC 2023

Mike’s Alma Mater is the third edition of the pack, after identically designed “Michigan” and “Oregon” hues from 2019 and 2020, respectively. Once again, you can anticipate superior nubuck uppers, unique boxing, and heel patches with an athletic flair. The nubuck uppers, in this case, are painted in University Blue, with tonal mesh, eye stays, laces, and liners around them.

Underfoot, OG Metallic-inspired sole components with a light blue tint to the transparent outsole pods sit with reflective silver tongues up above. Of course, this isn’t UNC’s first appearance in Jordan Brand’s PE-inspired line; the first Tar Heels-inspired colorway to include the controversial heel patch was the Air Jordan 6 from 2022. Expect a very decent resale here as well since UNC colorways are evergreen!

#5 Air Jordan 1 High University Blue (2023)

  • Retail Price: $180
  • Estimated Resell: $400
  • Release Date: Saturday, July 8th, 2023
  • Colorway: N/A
  • Style Code: DZ5485-400
Air Jordan 1 High University Blue 2023

The more information people have received about this sneaker, the more hyped it has gotten and for good reason, the Air Jordan 1 High UNC or University Blue colorways have always been extremely popular. There are still a few weeks left in 2022, yet NIKE, Inc. shoes for the next year keep popping up. The most recent is a pair of Air Jordan 1 Retro High OGs with “University Blue” accents at the toe.

Although an early mock-up of the pair shows it looking somewhat like the “Obsidian/University Blue” style that was released in August 2019, the forthcoming sneakers promise a blue that is much more reminiscent of the Air Jordans that have been popular among fans of the University of North Carolina (UNC) since 1985. Additionally, the speculated Air Jordan 1 is anticipated to have the named college color at the toe box and outsole, a design decision that, if realized, would further set the sneaker apart from earlier models.

As a nod to the “Black Toe” option that helped debut Michael Jordan’s first trademark shoe to the world 37 years ago, panels across the forefoot, around the tongue, and at the collar provide “Black” contrast to the design. University Blue colors on Air Jordan sneakers are a guaranteed hit for Jordan Brand and resellers alike. The 2019 UNC Obsidian resells for over $450, while the recent 2020 version is worth around $430 on StockX. I expect the Jordan 1 High University Blue 2023 to resell for over $400 as well.

#6 Air Jordan 1 High 85 Panda / Black White

  • Retail Price: $200
  • Estimated Resell: $350
  • Release Date: February 2023
  • Colorway: Black/White
  • Style Code: BQ4422-001
Air Jordan 1 High 85 Panda

The two-toned “Black/White” color combination, which is widely regarded as a fan favorite, makes an official comeback on the Air Jordan 1 High ’85 model from Jordan Brand. Following an early sneak-peak released earlier this spring, the panda-like hue adorns the form for the first time since 1985. The classic ’80s design of the high-top shoe is enhanced by three more contemporary variations, including the “Varsity Red,” “Neutral Grey,” and “Georgetown” color options. The typical black and white colors are now used to enhance the silhouette, with white accents added to the perforated toe boxes, medial panels, and ankle regions.

Black overlays are added to the previous ones in the premium leather composition, and they also touch the profile Swooshes that protrude from the tails. The exterior-facing ankle flaps have contrasting Wings logos, and the nylon tongues provide a touch of tactile interest with tonal emblems stitched with Nike branding. The offering is completed by a matching insole style, which is placed on top of engraved midsoles and black rubber bottoms.

#7 Travis Scott x Air Jordan 7

  • Retail Price: N/A
  • Estimated Resell: $400
  • Release Date: 2023
  • Colorway: N/A
  • Style Code: N/A
Travis Scott X Air Jordan 7

Travis Scott appears to be moving away from the Jordan 1 silhouette and onto a relatively elusive sneaker, the Air Jordan 7. Many people were uncertain if Nike would maintain their partnership with Travis Scott at the beginning of 2022. The Swoosh has subsequently seen the debut of the famed artist’s Air Max 1, Air Trainer 1, and yet another colorway of his Air Jordan 1 Low, proving that they had no intention of severing their relationship with him.

The latter shoe even has two follow-ups in development, dubbed “Black/Phantom” and “Sail/Black,” which are only a taster for La Flame’s next endeavor. Outside of the chosen shoe, not much is known about the cooperation as of this writing, but it’s probable that more information will become available in the coming months. All we do know is that whenever it is a Travis Scott release, you best keep your eyes open for the release date as these sneakers are highly profitable. Expect a resale value of around $400; if they retail for around $200, that is a decent margin.

#8 Air Jordan 1 High OG Across The Spider-Verse

  • Retail Price: $200
  • Average Resell: $500+
  • Release Date: May, 2023
  • Colorway: University Red/Black-White
  • Style Code: DV1748-601
Air Jordan 1 High OG Across The Spider Verse

With the launch of a follow-up Air Jordan 1 High OG “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” to 2018’s Origin Story edition, Jordan Brand will once more commemorate the sneaker-wearing Marvel character Spider-Man. Another Chicago-based narrative is shown in the first images of the comic book’s publication, but this time the panels are divided and sewn, and the finishes on the eye stays and collars are a clear nod to the movie’s animation style and poster. It also has patent leather at the neck and a jelly-red rubber outsole below. The other sneakers are extremely profitable, and this will probably sell for no less than $500 per pair.

#9 Adidas Yeezy 350 Pirate Black (Restock)

  • Retail Price: $200
  • Estimated Resell: $600+
  • Release Date: 2023
  • Colorway: Pirate Black
  • Style Code: BB5350
Adidas Yeezy 350 Pirate Black

Yeezy and the Adidas team have a history of reissuing many of their most well-liked designs so that as many people as possible may get them, whether with or without the former’s approval. It’s only fitting that the legendary “Pirate Black” release returns too. During the latest YEEZY Day launch, one memorable item from the creative genius’ Three Stripes portfolio was the Adidas YEEZY BOOST 350 “Turtle Dove.”

According to early indications, Ye’s covert colorway will reappear in 2023. This would be this colorway’s third release; it debuted in 2015 and underwent a refresh in 2016. It will retain all of its original design elements, including the covert PrimeKnit upper half pairs, the blacked-out midsole sections, and the exposed red stitchings on the heel tabs. These sneakers are currently worth a whopping $900 on StockX, and after the restock, they will still probably sell for around $600+.

#10 Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low Olive

  • Retail Price: $150
  • Estimated Resell: $1,000+
  • Release Date: Saturday, March 25th, 2023
  • Colorway: N/A
  • Style Code: DZ4137-106
Travis Scott X Air Jordan 1 Low Olive

After the recent success of a few other Travis Scott Air Jordan 1 collaborations, why would they stop there? Numerous joint colorways of the Air Jordan 1 Low OG have appeared recently, proving that Travis Scott and Jordan Brand are fully committed to the model. A WMNS Exclusive pair is anticipated to debut sometime in the spring of 2023, leaks have revealed, only one week following the release of the “Black/Phantom” official pictures. This women’s pair, now known as “Olive,” resembles older alternatives more than its Triple Black sibling. Many of the overlays are painted a light white, while the reverse Swoosh is painted a military green.

The flat laces may also have the latter color, but the remainder of the structure, which includes a black nubuck foundation and a cream midsole, does not quite match. Additionally, extra designs are printed all over the sock liner in addition to the standard insignia, such as the Cactus Jack and Wings emblem. As usual, Travis Scott collaborations, particularly on the Air Jordan 1 are some of the year’s biggest releases and extremely profitable. Expect these Air Jordans to sell for over $1,000! That’s an extremely high margin, considering the $150 price tag. Thus finishing off the list with a bang yet again!

Take your reselling game to the next level
