The Looks and Inspiration

The Nike Dunk High‘s simpler appearances are arguably the silhouette’s finest, most of these releases predicated on well-established OGs. And to slowly ease into their wide range of 2021 retros, the brand is first starting with the Dunk High SP “Pro Green.”

Revealed and teased many a time before, the offering has finally surfaced by way of official images, its construction and color arriving fully documented by way of multiple angles. Though likened to the colorway Virgil Abloh sought well before his own collaboration, the pair actually makes use of a darker, forest green, the shade bearing notable contrast to the “Pine Green” used prior. This titular coloring dyes all of the overlaid paneling as per usual, paired up with white leathers at the toe box, mid-panel, and collar alongside a mesh tongue and matching branding patches.

Take a look at the pair below, and see if they’re a pair you’d like to have on feet.

The Dunk Craze Continues

A late addition to this model is that the official color code by Nike is Spartan Green, an obvious nod to Michigan State University and the Spartans.

Word on the street is we’ll also be seeing Dunks like the Syracuse, Kentucky, and more in the high variety. Expect the holiday season and releases into 2021 to be loaded with Dunk Highs.

Conclusion and Resale Anticipation

We’ve been seeing a lot of Dunk lows hit the shelves recently. All of which have been wildly successful on the resale market. It’s a nice switch up to see the high getting some love now. While this isn’t an SB Dunk, it’s definitely still one to get excited about, that’s for sure. In 2020 we haven’t seen any regular Dunk Highs released. On the SB front, we’ve seen the Truck It’s, the Reverse Skunks, and the P-Rod Mexico’s, that’s about it for high models.

I love this shoe, really impressed with this consistency of Nike and the Dunk division. This shade of green is perfect and fits this time of year so well. With all that said I don’t think it’s a surprise to say these will be highly sought after the day of release and following. The sneaker-scape right now is very Dunk heavy. Until they get extremely saturated, it’s a good bet to to put your money on a new Dunk to climb in price premium.
