The reselling market is worth billions of dollars and it keeps on expanding thanks to hyped collaborations such as Air Jordan x Union LA.

Before we take a detailed look at some of the products the duo has to offer, let me walk you through a bit of the brand’s history.

Air Jordan x Union LA: History

Founded in 1989, by the same founders that created Supreme, Union LA sold everything from T-Shirts to Hoodies and wanted to take over the underground fashion scene.

After closing off their branch in New York in 2009, Union LA continued its operations and offered a wide range of products.

Despite the fact that the founder’s (Gibbs) favorite Jordan was the AJ III, the Air Jordan 1 was chosen for the first collaboration.

This was done for a variety of reasons, the most important of which being the AJ1’s sentimental worth. The AJ1 is, according to Gibbs, a classic shoe that will never go out of fashion.

They ultimately succeeded after several tries to create a shoe that was as close to the original 1985 Jordan 1 as possible. The finished result was a meticulously damaged Air Jordan 1 from 1985.

The partnership was a huge hit, with the sneakers selling out almost immediately. On the resale market now, they’re worth a lot of money.

Today, let’s check out a few of their apparel.
