Jordan Son Of Mars Low Expected To Return Spring 2026
Spike Lee fans, mark your calendars: one of his classic Jordan collabs is officially making a comeback. The Jordan Son Of Mars Low, which first hit shelves back in 2015, is slated to return in 2026 and this time, it’s dropping in full family sizes. Whether you’ve been waiting nearly a decade for a re-up or you’re new to the Mars hype, this is one retro that’s bringing serious Spike energy back to the sneaker world.
You know how “A Spike Lee Joint” in the movies means you’re about to watch something unforgettable? Well, his track record with Jordans is let’s say, a bit more complicated. Nobody can question Spike’s role in building the Air Jordan empire his early ads were pure fire, full of a character and energy that completely changed how sneakers were marketed.
That legendary collab eventually earned him his own signature shoe, the Jordan Spiz’ike. And true to Spike’s style, it didn’t play it safe. The design is a bold mash-up, grabbing the best bits from the III, IV, V, and VI, and a few others for good measure. It’s a sneaker that makes a statement, and just like his films, you’re definitely not going to feel neutral about it.
When the Spiz’ike first dropped in 2006, it actually got a pretty warm welcome from hardcore Jordan fans. It was different, sure, but it had that Spike Lee flavor people loved. What’s really interesting is that this shoe basically opened the floodgates for the whole “mash-up” era. After its success, Jordan Brand started pumping out hybrids like the Dub Zero and the 6 Rings models that Frankensteined elements from MJ’s greatest hits. None of those had Spike’s name on them, but you could argue they all owed a tip of the hat to the Spiz’ike for paving the way.
A few years later in the summer of 2012, Jordan Brand decided to team up with Spike Lee for another hybrid experiment. This time, they doubled down on the same classic models that inspired the Spiz’ike, and the result was the Jordan Son Of Mars. They even made a low-top version, which mashed up bits of the Air Jordan 3, 4, 5, and 6 into one shoe. It was clear they’d found a formula they liked.
We can officially confirm it the Jordan Son Of Mars Low is making a comeback in Summer 2026, and it’s coming in full family sizing. Four colorways are locked in: “Black Cement,” “White Cement,” “Cement Grey,” and the nod to Spike Lee’s classic, “Do The Right Thing.”
Each one tips its hat to an iconic Air Jordan from the past, though we’re still waiting to see the final details. Will we get Nike Air branding on the heel? It’s definitely possible. Either way, this is shaping up to be a solid return for one of Spike’s most recognizable collabs.
2026 is shaping up to be a big year for Spike Lee fans. Not only is his iconic debut film She’s Gotta Have It hitting its 40th anniversary, but we’re also getting the return of the Jordan Son of Mars Low. Until then, keep an eye on our Jordan Release Dates page we’ll have all the latest updates on drops throughout 2025.
