We’ll begin this weekly market recap by taking a look at some of the hottest kicks that dropped this week!
First up, the Nike SB Dunk Low Medicom Toy (2020)
Nike SB and Japan’s Medicom Toy brought their collaborative partnership into a new decade with the Nike SB Dunk Low Medicom Toy 2020.
Medicom is known for its robust catalog of collectible toys. The Bearbrick figure is one of the most recognizable toys in their product line and is usually the focal point of collaboration for the brand.
Nike SB and Medicom started their joint efforts in the early 2000s co-designing SB Dunk Lows and Bearbrick figures. After four releases, a fifth SB Dunk was announced.
The Nike SB Dunk Low Medicom Toy channels a bear in literal terms. A black hairy textile covers the entire upper while white appears at the heel.
From there, Medicom branding on the tongue, white midsoles, and a grey outsole accentuate the silhouette’s primarily dark features.
The Medicom Toy Nike SB Dunk Low Be@rbrick price was ¥13,500 ($125) (Adults) and released on August the 22nd
In terms of the resale for this sneaker, it was absolutely insane!
With only 126 sales on the StockX marketplace platform, the Nike SB Dunk Low Medicom Toy (2020) has been able to rack up a 288% price premium, leaving an average resale price of $513.
Next up, the Nike Kobe 5 Protro Undefeated What If Pack,
UNDEFEATED x Nike Kobe 5 Protro “What If” pack released on the 27th of August 2020. The “What If” pack will include two colorways: “Dirty Dozen” and “Unlucky 13”
Each of the pairs in the UNDEFEATED x Nike Kobe 5 Protro “What If” pack had a retail price of $190.
Nike, starting from August 23rd, is celebrating Mamba Week in order to honor the legacy of the late basketball legend: Kobe Bryant.
Mamba Week will feature drops such as Nike Kobe 5 Protro Lakers, Nike Kobe 5 Protro Big Stage Parade, and Nike Kobe 5 Protro EYBL.

I am very happy to say that they were absolutely correct! The Kobe pack had an insane amount of reselling and if you did take the SFS advice, you would have definitely been making some serious profit!
With just 38 sales on the StockX marketplace platform, the Nike Kobe 5 Protro Undefeated What If Pack was able to rack up a price premium of 458.9% and an average resale price of $1,355!
As I said, if you were able to pick up this pack, you’d be in for some serious profit. Now as much as I hate to say it, there is one reason why these sneakers have a huge boost in reselling.
As sad as it is, the fact that Kobe Bryant did pass away, does add a large amount of hype and want for these sneakers. For NBA fans – these shoes can provide a reminder of the legend and can be used as a memory of how influential he was.
Thirdly, the Jordan 1 Mid SE Union Black Toe
After dropping a similarly-blocked pair in the Air Jordan 1 “Light Smoke Grey”, Jordan Brand is taking the Union aesthetic one step further with a two-piece pack of Air Jordan 1 Mids.
Like the revered collaboration from late 2018, the Union-like Mids feature split blocking at the collar, finished in a like-grey suede and white overlay combo — it even includes the zig-zagged stitching finish, this time atop the tongue liner.
The Track Red pair is pretty much a Mid-cut GR takedown of Union’s “Black Toe” release, whilst the other pair is more aligned with the famed Fragment Air Jordan 1, featuring body blocking akin to Fujiwara’s 2014 release.
Material-wise, white leathers make up the collar, mid-panel, and toe, whilst the aforementioned grey suede is matched at the heel overlay in red and royal respectively. Like the tongues, the pairs’ eyelet, Swoosh, and toe overlays arrive in black nylon, and the pairs are completed with white midsoles and independent outsoles in black and red.
In terms of resale for the Jordan 1 Mid SE Union Black Toe, we’ve seen some good numbers. With 187 sales on the StockX Marketplace platform, the Jordan 1 Mid SE Union Black Toe
has racked up a 32.5% price premium and an average resale price of $164, decently profitable with the $120 retail. If you were able to pick up multiple pairs of this shoe, you’d be in for a good profitable day.
Recap of Week of August 24th
Overall I have to say this week was one of the best yet.
With Nike SB Dunk Low Medicom Toy (2020), we saw some pretty heavy profit and overall a high-quality sneaker. As we said, The Bearbrick figure is one of the most recognizable toys in their product line and is usually the focal point of collaboration for the brand.
The hype was there for this SB and it showed on the resell market.
In terms of the Nike Kobe 5 Protro Undefeated What If Pack, we saw huge profits. Obviously like we said this is unfortunately primarily due to Kobe’s death, but we should focus on the sneaker as being a reminder of how influential Kobe Bryant was for not only basketball but for everyone.
And finally, we had the Jordan 1 Mid SE Union Black Toe. The Union Jordan 1 had a ton of hype but the Mid didn’t have as much as one may have thought. If you managed to cop multiple pairs – you would have made some decent profit.
Overall the Union Mid was a decent pair that did okay on the market.
