Lego and Adidas have a new-found history but one that has been growing quite swiftly. Both the European brands have released a total of 7 ZX 8000 styles just in the last year and this time, the toy company has its eyes on a whole new silhouette ̵1; The Adidas Superstar. The sneaker is set to release on July 1, 2021.
The Adidas Superstar is a beloved sneaker within the community as it embodies the three stripes quite boldly. Initially released in 1969, it was the first low-top basketball shoe to feature an all-leather upper and the now famous rubber shell toe. When it comes to the resale price for this fascinating new release, it’s all about the timing and about the number of items in stock. My bet is that the lego toy model will be more in demand than the actual sneaker itself so you should be diverting your efforts into purchasing the toy sneaker.
The reason why I say this is because it’s just another Adidas Superstar which the market is flooded with – you might be able to resell it for $170-$180 if you’re lucky but usually both the companies produce enough shoes to satisfy the market demand.
At the moment, there is a great deal of uncertainty about the resale price for the toy set because this is unlike anything that we’ve seen before but that could mean that either there are huge profits to be made or you’re likely just going to break even. Now it depends on you whether or not you want to take this risk.
My best bet would be to not invest too much into this release and keep an eye out for other soon-to-come sneakers.
