Although the first collaboration was more of an art exhibition, this time Adidas and Meissen are going for a full-fledge sneaker release. Let me walk you through some of their histories!
Adidas Originals x Meissen
Adidas is an iconic and world-famous sportswear brand that was created by Adolf Dassler in his mother’s basement. He started creating shoes in the early 1900s. After WW1, his brother joined in and together they worked hard that lead to events that created the brand we all know and love today.
You will, however, be forgiven for not knowing about Meissen which is also a German brand but in an entirely different field. Meissen’s history dates back to 1710 and has the title of being Europe’s first-ever porcelain manufacturers.
Meissen still operates and is renowned as one of the best in the Industry due to its outstanding quality and attention to detail. Each product is handcrafted and painted by a highly skilled team that produces beautiful figurines, collectibles, and also Jewelry.
Adidas has collaborated with Meissen before on the ZX 8000 which was one of a kind. The sneakers were worked on for an exhausting 6 months before they were ready as each pair was handcrafted and painted. The 1/1 piece was auctioned for an extremely high price with the proceeds donated to the Brooklyn Museum.

The Adidas Undefeated Bape ZX 8000 Black features a black overlay on the toe regions and a glossy black finish on the rear heel piece. The underlay features a black/grey camo pattern with Adidas’ 3 stripes on the side panels. A white midsole and tan outsole completes the look.

These ZX 10000 C sneakers feature genuine porcelain all over their white leather upper. Although down below these sneakers feature a clean white, as you move up, a profusion of floral patterns present themselves on the toe box, side panels, tongues, and throats.
The pattern is perhaps the only indication of Meissen’s work as the design stays true to Meissens style choices which include a lack of branding. The only one is found in the middle of the outsole. The rest of the sneaker is covered in premium white leather that does well to make the floral colors pop.
