Air Force 1 Low| A Classic

Nike Air Force CO.JP History Nike
Nike

After releasing various running sneakers, Nike decided to go all into the basketball world with their latest Air Force 1. A design that was so revolutionary that it is still worn as street-wear to this day.

Bruce Kilgore was the mind behind the Air Force 1 for which he took inspiration from the Nike hiking boot.  Kilgore’s design was so high-tech at the time that it’s still used in Nike sneakers today.

After releasing it in 1984, Nike decided to discontinue the sneaker. The AJ1, however, was so popular, demand practically forced Nike to bring it back in 1986. Air Force 1 released in multiple colorways and has been the canvas for a few popular collaborations.

Then in the 2000s, an array of different Japanese exclusives released which are still highly sought after. Since they’re difficult to get your hands on, Nike re-released a few of them to the public and they were an instant hit.

A few of them include the Jordan 1 High Midnight Navy and the Air Force 1 I Believe. To estimate how hyped the latest addition to the CO.JP lineup will be, let’s head over to StockX.

Nike Air Force 1 CO.JP Wheat (2020)

Retail Price: $130

Peak Resell: $280

Release Date: 10/17/2020

Colorway: Wheat/Dark Mocha

The Air Force 1 Low CO.JP Wheat released last year and was fairly hyped. It features a “Wheat” upper with matching laces and swooshes.

Perforated toe boxes, Wheat Tongues, and Dark Mocha hee tabs add an extra layer of detail. Meanwhile, a tan midsole and Dark outsole complete the look.

On StockX, the average selling price is $140 which is just a $10 gross profit. However, the “I Believe” colorway is currently selling for over $200. Thus I believe resale for the Nike Air Force 1 Low B 3M Snake will be somewhere in the middle.

Retail Price: $130

Estimated Resell: $150

Release Date: February/11/2021

Colorway: Black/Silver-Black

This Air Force 1 Low stays true to the originals back from 2001 with a silver, black, and white color scheme.

Black tumbled leather is used on the toe boxes, side panels, heel tabs, and tongues while faux snake-skin is featured on the lateral swooshes. To add some extra bling to the other-wise subtle sneakers, Nike has also added hi-res reflective detailing on the toes, eye stays, and heels.

A crisp white midsole with a plain black outsole finishes off the design.

Nike Air Force 1 B “3M Snake”| Where to Buy

You can buy these sneakers come February 11th Via Nike SNKRS. The retail price is set for $130 per pair.

To buy them today for resale prices, visit StockX.

Estimated Resell Value

I believe these sneakers will sell out with potentially minor profits. Unlike the Air Force 1 “I Believe” colorway, these don’t offer anything that’s too appealing as countless other similar sneakers can be found at around retail prices.

Using my estimated resell value of $150, expect gross profits of around $20 per pair. Therefore I’m going to give these kicks a “Retail” according to our Hype Meter.
