Nike Air Force 1 “BeTrue” – Release and Resale Guide

The Nike Air Force 1 “BeTrue” is dropping Friday, June 19th for $120. These will be among other hot AF1s like the “Drew League” as well as the “Jewel” Home and Away Pack.

Nike has unveiled the Air Force 1 that will be part of its “Be True” pack this year. The Nike “Be True” pack is the sportswear company’s offering of LGBTQ Pride-themed sneakers and apparel, all of which feature the 10-color LGBTQ rainbow flag. The classic, triple white Nike Air Force 1 is given a luxe, pebbled leather update with LGBTQ-themed detailing on the heel tab, midsole, and tongue. The rainbow detailing is an unmistakable nod in support of marginalized voices in our society. Tailored perforations and gimping add another touch of luxury to an otherwise classic design. Involvement with Pride & Past Success
Nike has been taking part in celebrating LGBTQ pride in the month of June for a number of years now, which is fabulous. We love the initiative to stay involved and support a population. On the website Nike states that they’ve been partnering with the LGBTQ community for 15 years now. The collections have really heated up just in the past few if you ask me.
Here are some blasts from the past.
Resale Anticipation
As mentioned above, this year’s BeTrue collection is somewhat small. The Air Force 1 is only to be accompanied by the Air Max 2090 and the ACG Air Deschutz (a sandal). Contrary to past years, there’s a clear and obvious favorite in the group and that’s the AF1.
All that said, we would estimate these viable for a quick flip option. Being that the AF1 is such a versatile and beloved shoe, we believe there’d be reasonable hype around it. While in some years, BeTrue sneakers have even gone on sale, we can’t imagine these would follow that trend.

Right now the shoes are suspect to be on the Nike webstore only. There could be a potential SNKRS release but it’s not on the updated calendar at the moment.
After the release be sure to check up on the usual suspects for the secondary market – StockX, Goat, Grailed, eBay, and Reddit.
