The OG Air Force 1 Low finally gets its own “Roswell Rayguns” makeover. Confused about what that is? Well, let me walk you through its history!

Nike Air Force 1 and Rosewell Rayguns

Nike Rosewell Rayguns History Rink Rats
From Rink Rats

Bruce Kilgore was the mind behind the Air Force 1 for which he took inspiration from the Nike hiking boot.  Kilgore’s design was so high-tech at the time that it’s still used in Nike sneakers today.

After releasing it in 1984, Nike decided to discontinue the sneaker. The AJ1, however, was so popular, demand practically forced Nike to bring it back in 1986. Air Force 1 released in multiple colorways and even a high-top and has been the canvas of a few popular collaborations.

The Roswell Rayguns, on the other hand, is a fictional ABA team created by Nike for their basketball sneaker campaign in the 2000s.

The story is about a struggling team in 1975 until their mid-season when some beings from another planet come to visit. A character named “Dr.Funk” walks out with a team of All-Stars and they go on to dominate the sport.

From this story, came the Iconic Nike SB Dunk low Rayguns that were advertised as special “Time-Traveling shoes” in a Rayguns-themed colorway.

That colorway now returns for the Nike Air Force 1 Low “Raygun”. To estimate its resale value, let’s head over to StockX!

Colorway: BLACK/BLACK-ORANGE FLASH

This Nike SB Dunk Low features a tie-dye color on the leather side panels and rear. Orange heel tabs blend right in while a black “Swoosh”, eye stays, and toe box makes the colors pop.

A black midsole and shell outsole finishes off the design.

The average selling price on StockX is around $260 which is a $160 average gross profit. However, since this is an SB Dunk, the Nike Air Force 1 Low “Raygun” will likely no be as profitable.

Estimated Resell Value

I believe these sneakers just might sell out, however, I don’t expect any high profits. Air Force 1 Lows tend to sit around close to retail prices recently.

Using my estimated resell value, expect gross profits of around $30 per pair.
