Travis Scott x Fragment x Jordan | Unreal Hype
Nike has remained to be the top dog for years, largely thanks to its high-end collaborations with hyped brands and larger-than-life celebrities.
Hiroshi Fujiwara, the founder of Fragment design, first collaborated with Nike in 2000 on the Air Woven. After this iconic release, myriads of collaborations took place including the recent Fragment Nike Dunk High Beijing.
Travis Scott, on the other hand, has also collaborated with Nike various times. Almost every single release is seemingly worth gold on the reseller’s market and that trend have continued onto 2021 with sneakers such as the Travis Scott Air Jordan 6 British Khaki.
Hiroshi and Fragment, however, have never collaborated before, until now. First seen on the feet of La Flame back in 2019, the images weren’t sharp enough to admire the full glory of this masterpiece.
As the release date approaches, however, leaked images have begun to surface- And they are spectacular. Before we take a detailed look, let’s head over to the secondary market to estimate its resale value.
Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 High
- Retail Price: $175
- Peak Resell: $3,700
- Release Date: Saturday, May 11th, 2019
- Colorway: Sail/Black-Dark Mocha
This famed Air Jordan 1 High is one of the most popular Air Jordan 1s ever made.
Uppers consist of white tumbled leather hues with oversized inverted leather Swooshes. Mocha overlays cover the toes, eye stays, heel overlays, and collars. Branding consists of Wings logos on the collars while “Cactus Jack” covers the “Nike” branded tongues.
Aged midsoles and black outsoles finish off the design.
On the secondary market, these sneakers are selling for average prices of over $1,600. Yielding whopping gross profits of over $1,400 per pair.
The Travis Scott x Fragment Air Jordan 1 High may even surpass this sneaker in terms of resale value.
The Travis Scott x Fragment Air Jordan 1 High | A Closer Look
- Retail Price: $200
- Estimated Resell: $1,500-$1,900
- Release Date: Thursday, July 29th, 2021
- Colorway: Sail/Black-Military Blue-Shy Pink
Introduced to the world alongside the Travis Scott Fragment Air Jordan 1 Low (Release Date Fall 2021), both sneakers feature design cues evidently borrowed from 2019’s Travis Scott AJ1s and Fragment Design’s Air Jordan 1 High (2014).
The upper is dominated by white tumbled leather which appears on the side panels and the scuff guards. Lateral sides are contrasted by large inverted Black Swooshes, matching the black laces and the collars.
Meanwhile, Military Blue hues cover the toe boxes, the collars that feature black Wings logos, and the heel overlays. Reminiscent of 2014’s Fragment Air Jordan 1.
Medial sides feature model-specific texts on the midsoles and traditional Swooshes. Heel tabs, on the other hand, rock embossed Fragment Thunderbolt and “Cactus Jack” logos.
Sail midsoles and Military Blue outsoles complete the design.
