air Jordan 12 | History
Ever noticed the curves on an Air Jordan 12? That’s probably because it was inspired by women’s fashion, particularly a Japanese dress known as a “Nishiki”. The stitching on the sides is also inspired by the Japanese flag, representing rays of the sun.
Furthermore, the Air Jordan 12 introduced Jordan Brand to the more advanced Zoom Air Units for the first time. It made the sneakers more comfortable and provided extra support. Lastly, Tinker Hatfield who designed the sneaker also added a carbon fiber shank plate for extra support.
The Air Jordan 12 released in 1996 with a retail price tag of $135 for adult sizes. Over the years, we’ve seen a wide range of colorways and renditions, a lot of which have been insanely hyped. Following the Kid’s Air Jordan 12 Ice Cream, Nike is set to release the Air Jordan 12 Easter Low.
To estimate its resale, let’s head over to StockX.
