Before we take a detailed look at this brand new Jordan 13. Let me walk you through its history.

Air Jordan 13 | History

Released in 1997 after MJ’s return to the court, the Jordan 13 was created to match Michael’s playstyle in the most unique way yet that was coincidently fitting of the Chicago Bulls Star’s moniker.

Tinker Hatfield created the Air Jordan 13 with Michael Jordan’s play tactics in mind. MJ wouldn’t just recklessly rush in for the ball. He’d wait patiently and wait for the right time to pounce and turn the tide. Much like a panther or a “Black Cat”, as his teammates called him.

Interestingly enough, Hatfield wasn’t aware of this nickname until after designing the sneakers.

The Jordan 13s feature soles that resemble a panther’s paws which were intended by design.

This silhouette is still quite successful in the secondary and primary markets. The Air Jordan 13 Hyper Royal and Air Jordan 13 Black Metallic Gold, for example, dropped last year and are fairly profitable.

The Air Jordan 13 Flint was reintroduced a total of three times. The first time was in 2005, then in 2010, and lastly in 2020.

These sneakers feature an identical look to the originals along with reflective side panels. Pebbled white leather covers the toes while the rest of the upper features a dark navy hue.

Grey mudguards, white midsoles, and black/white outsoles complete the look.

The “Red Flint” colorway features similar color tones to its retro counterpart, however, swaps out the rich navy pockmarked side panels for a Gym Red color tone.

The rest of the upper features clean tumbled leather that starts from the toes and progresses towards the throats and tongues which are contrasted by white Jump-Man logos.

The mudguards feature a familiar “Flint Grey” suede that extends all the way to the rear panels is encrusted with a “23” hologram badge.

White midsoles and black/white outsoles with a red marbled Jump-Man completes the design.

I believe these sneakers will sell out and will likely be as profitable as the OG Flints. However, make sure to flip as they tend to fall in value over time.
