Nike Air Jordan 3 Varsity Royal – Release and Resale Guide
News is surfacing around the vast mediums of the internet of certain Jordan colorways hitting the streets in 2021. However, we don’t have to wait 6 more months to get our hands on one of the most coveted Jordan silhouettes, as the jumpman brand is releasing the Jordan 3 Retro Varsity Royal on the 10th of October for a retail price of $190.
After hearing continuous leaks for the Varsity Royal we finally got some images. And one thing you’ll notice right off the bat is the stark resemblance to the 2018 Jordan 3 Another One pair which was released in collaboration with the DJ Khalid.
Feel free to skip to the “Conclusion” to read a condensed version of the entire article and find out the resale value of the Jordan 3 Retro Varsity Royal.
In this article we’ll be evaluating the resale value of the Jordan 3 Varsity Royal and what makes our life easier and our calculations accurate is a point of reference, which in this case is the DJ Khalid collaboration with the jumpman brand in 2018.
We’ll see how that sneaker has performed in the past 2 years and then extrapolate that data onto our Varsity Royal.
Let’s get right into it then!
The Jordan 3 Another One
Released in 2018 in collaboration with DJ Khalid, the Another One features a blue suede upper with and cement grey overalls on the toe box and the heels. With a retail price around $200, the sneaker shot the ball out of the resale park.
Looking at StockX’s sale data, we see that the average resale value of this sneaker is $6000 even two years after its release. Guess DJ Khalid isn’t good at just making music.
Another One didn’t have an official release which made it really scarce and thus drove the resale value up. This is likely not going to be the case with Varsity Royal but let’s take a closer look.
The Jordan 3 Retro Varsity Royal
The Varsity Royal comes in a varsity royal upper with very similar, to the Another One, elephant cement grey overalls. Currently, the official release date is 10th October and the retail price is $190.
Because not everyone could get their hands on the Another One, most of us are going to be struggling to get our hands on these pairs as soon as they drop. However, if you join our cook group, you’ll get valuable insider information on how to cop shoes as soon as they drop successfully.

Now comes the part where the money (potentially) comes rolling in. The Jordan brand has so much clout that even a layman knows that their sneaker will almost definitely go above the retail value no matter the colorway or silhouette.
Since our point of reference is the Jordan 3 Another One things are looking good for the Varsity Royal. As I said before, the Another One trades on the market for an average price of $6000 and just recently there were 2 sales made on StockX which indicates that buyers are expecting an appreciation in value of the shoe as soon as the Varsity Royal drops.
Looking at the StockX data for the Varsity Royal, we see that there currently have been only 2 sales made – one for $500 and the other $280. All the Ask prices are either $600 or $700 whilst the Bids are around $300.
Once the sneaker gets closer to release date we will see an appreciation in the resale value. Therefore, according to our estimates The Jordan 3 Varsity Royal has a resale value in the range of $380-450. You will be easily able to make money off of this drop.
So make sure to mark your calendars for the 10th of October because that’s when the Varsity Royal drops for a retail price of $190.
