Nike Air Max 95 “Greedy 2.0” – Release and Resale Guide
2020 has been quite the year so far. Among other unexpected circumstances, we can still find some escape and celebration in our sneakers. This year, it’s the 25th anniversary for the Air Max 95.
A fan favorite, the Air Max 95 is engrained in sneaker culture as a timeless, wear-with-anything type sneaker that gets respect worldwide, no exaggeration.
Coming May 4th, the Air Max 95 sees the “Greedy” theme/colorway once again. Japanese retailer Atmos will get the first release. For $175, you can get your pair of Air Max 95 “Greedy 2.0”. As a reminder, here at SFS is the best place to gain valuable info about reselling and updates on all sneaker and streetwear releases.

In this post I’ll be talking about the ins and outs of the shoes, showing you the detailed photos, giving you a quick history, the resale opportunity, and all the release info.

a CLOSER LOOK
This iteration of the Nike Air Max 95 comes with a split design featuring classic color blockings that include the OG “Neon” and “Photo Blue” colorways spotted on the lateral sides. Both shoes also come with differed colored tongues and insoles to complete the design.
All that said, take a peek at the details on the Greedy 2.0. I’m a fan of this overhead view to see the different colorways on each side of the sneaker.
hISTORY OF AIR MAX 95 AND PAST HITS
The Air Max 95 was a brand new approach to runner cushioning by being the first ever shoe to also feature the visible air unit in the forefoot. It was also the first Air Max model to have a black midsole.
With its unique colorway, Swoosh placement, and dual air-powered cushioning system, the unapologetically brash Air Max 95 quickly progressed into a sneaker culture icon.
As I alluded to earlier, the Air Max 95 is a sneaker that’s transcended decades and stayed relevant. It has universal appeal and staying power. This is clear being that we’re coming up on its 25th anniversary and there’s still hype surrounding it. As Game said in the 2004 smash hit Hate It or Love it, “I’ll kill you if you try me for my Air Max 95s”. The Greedy mixes all your favorite past colorways of the AM95 into one. Your yesteryear fantasies are coming true.
If you were thinking you had seen these sneakers before, you’re partially correct. As the name suggests, this is the second coming of the “Greedy” theme. This style coloring is also commonly referred to as a “What The” colorway – or a combination and mashup of multiple standalone models.
In 2015, the original Air Max 95 Greedy was released. The left shoe mixes “Safety Orange” and “Aqua/Grape” tones, while the right pair takes “Neon Yellow” and “Hot Red” hues.
Besides the normal Neon, Photo Blue, Hot Red, Slate, Grape, Orange colorways, the AM95 has seen some tremendous collaborations and stylings.
To round out 2018, Carhartt got their turn to give the sneaker a hunting, blue-collar vibe.
More recently, Korea got an exclusive “Pollen Rise” Air Max 95 that leaves us here in the states very jealous.
I’d be remiss to not mention one of my personal favorites. Nike and Atmos teamed up for second time on these “Animal 2.0” Air Max 95s that I was stoked to add to my collection from the secondary market for a steal.
Resale Anticipation
The Greedy 2.0 Air Max 95 should be a decent shoe to resell. The truth is these will sell out no doubt about it. That’s always a good sign so you should have no hesitation in buying. If it does anything like it’s predecessor, it will see a prosperous future in the resale market!
The lifespan of the 2015 has only increased in value. While they were only reselling about $70 to $100 over retail shortly after release, they’ve skyrocketed to seeing sales into $400 and $500. I believe this 2020 version of the Greedy will follow a similar model. Look for the most profitable sizes which are usually around 8 to 10.
Of course, check out StockX and GOAT for all your reselling needs after the drop. Check in with other platforms like eBay and Reddit r/sneakermarket if you exhausted all your other options.
