Skip to conclusion for those in a hurry.
Air Max 90-A Brief History
The Air Max 90 was once again designed by the legendary Tinker Hatfield. The first Sneaker was designed to resemble an exotic car and since it had no iconic figure as an ambassador. It had to be the most fire pair of kicks they had ever made. And they did.
Tinker Hatfield fought everyone over the design of the sneaker. Particularly the Air Unit on the Mid-Sole. Unlike other Nike Airs, this one had a visible Air Unit which didn’t fit well with other designers.
An Air Max didn’t start the era of the running shoe. However, it transformed from a running shoe to something else. It was now a lifestyle and cultural icon which suddenly made whoever wore the latest ones the “Cool Kid” on the block.
It was an intrinsic part of pop culture as most hip hop and pop artists would be seen rocking them in the 90s. That influenced many other people to start following their icons which boosted the Air Max’s popularity.
The air max 90 was the golden age of the Air Max. It revolutionized what the Air Max was which is not just a performance sneaker but way more.
Nike Air Max 90-A Lucrative Bunch
Nike Air Max 90 has really been killing it with recent releases. Especially their resale value which has proven various times to be quite profitable.
Air Max is a cultural and fashion icon that stood up and stood out on its own. Without a Jordan or a LeBron to embellish its name and existence. They’re desired by most collectors and sneaker-heads which is reflected in their good resale values.
To estimate the resale value of the Nike Air Max 90 Home and Away Safety Orange and Concord Gum. Let’s take a look at a few similar examples, see how they’re doing on the resale market.
Nike Air Max 90 Reverse Duck Camo (2020)
Retail Price: $140
Peak Resell: $491
Release Date: 03/26/2020
Colorway: Infrared/Black-Dark Sage
This sneaker is Nike’s fresh take on the Atmos x Air Max collaboration back in 2013. Sporting an identical look yet reversing the color tones.
Nike released the Air Max 90 Reverse Duck on Air Max day in celebration of Air Max’s 35th anniversary.
The shoe features an infrared mesh upper with a duck camo, a black “Swoosh” and striking white laces. It also features black quarter panels, white mid-sole with an exposed air unit. An Infrared out-sole finishes off the design.
The over-all design appeals to a lot of people which gives it excellent resale value. According to StockX, the trade range is between $143-$201 with the average price being $223.
That’s an average profit of $86 before taxes and service fees. Had you sold these at peak resale, profit would’ve been as high as $351. That’s pretty good money especially if you copped multiple pairs for retail.

This was released in order to pay homage to many of the major cities in the US. Much like the Home and Away releases, these are inspired by the color tones of certain uniforms.
The sneaker features a sued grey upper with a grey mid-sole and air unit. Air Max branding below the sued grey Nike “Swoosh” and an orange collar outline. A rugged orange out-sole finishes off the design.
According to stockX, these have very good resale value as well. Due to the unique look and what it represents, copping for sneaker-heads was a no-brainer.

Nike Air Max 90 Home and Away Concord Gum & Safety Orange
Retail Price: $130
Estimated Resell: $190
Release Date: 06/06/2020
Colorway: Sail/Orange & Blue
Nike is back at it again with its fade away color scheme which is pretty cool in my opinion. The color tone changes from home to away colors depending on the wearers use and agitation.
Nike and its retail partners such as foot locker have used this a bunch of times and will not be stopping anytime soon. The Nike Air Max 90 Home and Away both drop on June the 6th.
The Safety Orange features signature air max color blocking. Sporting bright orange highlights in the heel, laces and Nike “Swoosh”. The upper is a combination of sued and leather, providing a varied texture.
The only difference is the jeweled “Swoosh” instead of the cropped one as on more Air Max 90s. Moving on to the Concord Gum.
It rocks sporty blue color blocking with a blue jeweled “Swoosh”. Blue laces and blue color blocking on the heel of the sneaker. A rugged light brown out-sole on both pairs finish off the design.

Resale Value
The Nike Air Max 90 Home and Away seem to be nothing crazy on the resale side but I suspect there is money to be made. As we’ve analyzed previous models, I believe this may score you a bit more than just lunch money.
After applying a standard US tax rate and service fee. To get your money back on StockX, you will need to sell for at least $155. That leaves you with $35 in pure profits per pair.
If you manage to cop multiple pairs then that’s a good week’s work! Sizes 8-9.5 and the larger sizes such as 10-12.5 are expected to be profitable.
Where to Cop
You can get these at multiple places such as Nike.com and SNS at 10:00 AM ET. These may sell out fast so I suggest using multiple accounts if investing in a bot isn’t possible.
If you fail to cop, you can find them on re-seller websites such as StockX. Keep in mind sizes 9 and up are expected to do better as they’re more in demand.
