New Balance is a very old company, dating back to 1906 when it was founded by William J. Riley. They first sold orthopedic products but transitioned to performance wear by the 1950s.
After Paul Kidd took over, demand rose sky-high with athletes now asking for tailored shoes. In 1961, the New Balance “Trackster” released which was their first performance running shoe.
It had an excellent rippled sole for traction and came in different widths to fit various feet. 1976, New Balance came into the international spotlight by winning the Runner’s World Magazine Award.
After many collaborations and hiring signature athletes, New Balance seems to be doubling-down their investment in KAWHI Leonard. Quite a few sneakers have already released while there are a lot more still to come.
After leaving Nike over a dispute over his “Klaw” branding, Leonard signed with New Balance in 2018 which earns him an estimated $5.5 Million according to Forbes.

These sneakers celebrate Kawhi Leonard’s dominant 2019 run when he also secured his second championship in the NBA.
The “Four Bounces” sneakers feature a blue upper with a black overlay that forms a pattern across the side panels. A black collar, blue heel piece, and golden hits above the mudguards further embellish the design. A white midsole and grey outsole completes the look.
The average selling price on StockX is $240 which is a decent average gross profit of $80 per pair. At peak resale, they’ve been sold for gross profits as high as $365. I believe the New Balance KAWHI Snowman will likely have a similar resale value.

This Christmas-themed New Balance sneaker comes dressed in an ice-y overlay that mimics a block of cold carved ice. The toe region and heel both present these ice-y reinforcements while the side panels feature a similar New Balance KAWHI pattern.
The white tongue features claw and basketball graphics while the heel tabs feature signatures of the star himself. A metallic silver FuelCell midsole and a white outsole complete the look.
