Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 37 BETRUE – Resale Guide
June is a month where companies come together to celebrate Pride month in honor of the LGBTQ+ community. Initially, we were set to receive a three-part BETRUE collection by Nike which featured the Air Force 1, Air Max 2090, and ACG Deschutz – we have now been informed that the swoosh brand is set to release the Nike Pegasus 37 BETRUE on June 19th.
We’ve already covered the resale guides of the Air Force 1 and the Air Max 2090, so be sure to check them out to see if they’re worth the cop or not. Make sure you’re part of our cook group where you’ll receive all the valuable insider information regarding the best sneakers for resale.
Feel free to skip to the Conclusion in order to read a condensed version of the entire article and find out the resale value of the Nike Pegasus 37 BETRUE.
In Greek mythology, Pegasus is a winged horse and is the offspring of the Olympian God – Poseidon (The King of the Sea). Pegasus was known for its unmatchable speed and agility. Perhaps this is why Nike chose to name its running sneakers after the winged horse.
The Nike Pegasus was introduced way back in the ’80s as a versatile running shoe for both the beginners and the experienced runners. It incorporated the Zoom technology which according to Nike is, “our innovative and explosive cushioning system designed for speed and agility”.
Pegasus has been on the streets for almost 40 years now and doesn’t show signs of slowing down. Since the 80s the shape hasn’t changed all that much and the shoe, over the years, has incorporated React foam cushioning. Along with Zoom tech. in the midsole, this means that runners can breeze past any obstacle that comes their way.
Let’s take a look at how the previous versions of the Nike Pegasus have performed in the market:
Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 37 Black White
Released in April of 2020 for a retail price of $120, this Pegasus 37 has an all-black upper with a white midsole. There have only been 8 resales on StockX so far and that too for an average resale value of $151. Not too bad for a running sneaker.
Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 37 Pale Ivory (W)
A women’s only Pegasus which has an Ivory upper with a grey swoosh – retailing at $120. Released in April of 2020, there have only been 8 resales for an average price of $171 while the peak resale value was $209.
Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 37 BETRUE
At this point, all we know for sure is the release date for the sneaker which is June 19th, 2020. The retail price is to be confirmed but looking at the previous price listings of the Pegasus 37, we can be sure that it lies in the range of $120-$130.
This will be a women’s exclusive Pegasus 37 and will come in a completely black upper with embellishments of the Pride colors. The swoosh is outlined in a gradient of rainbow colors whilst we see a classic all-white midsole with BETRUE inscribed upon it in a rather small font. The sneaker also features a BETRUE logo on the tongue.

The Pegasus, although quite appealing with its aerodynamic aesthetics, is not really a sneaker that you look to resell. The reason being is that Nike releases enough of it to satisfy the demand in the market i.e. it doesn’t create scarcity.
Nevertheless, it does have its unique niche which is small but still is willing to pay above the retail price to get a hold of the shoe just in case they’re unable to find them in stores or online.
Taking a look at the Bids section on StockX, the average Bid value is around $300 but I don’t see the sneaker going for that amount. It’s simply a shot in the dark by the sellers hoping to bait a poor buyer.
The more realistic resale value of the Nike Pegasus 37 BETRUE lies in the range of $150-170. If you can get a dollar above that range, well-done but I just don’t see a great market for this sneaker.
