Stick around as we go through all the details!
October was filled with Halloween-themed releases and specials that were decently profitable. November, however, starts off strong as well and may entail a few pleasant surprises!
Before we take a detailed look at the Nike Dunk Low Goldenrod, let me walk you through a bit of its history and see how profitable the Dunks are in 2021.
Nike Dunk Low History and Resale
The Dunk Low and High was released in 1986 as part of Nike’s college colors program also by its motto “Be True To Your School”.
The campaign included many Nike Dunks that let fans represent certain Nike-affiliated schools. One of those schools was the University of Iowa.
The Iowa Hawkeye, in particular, are partners with Nike and you can find a range of their apparel in stores. Last year, Nike even dropped the SB Dunk High Iowa or “Varsity Maize” which currently resells for over $200 per pair.
With the regular Dunks, however, things aren’t exactly the same. A large number of new colorways has hurt its profitability but these still might sell out and be profitable.
The Nike Dunk Low Syracuse and Kentucky, for example, are still highly valuable sneakers. To estimate resale for the Nike Dunk Low Goldenrod, let’s head on over to StockX.
Nike Dunk Low Michigan (2021)
- Retail Price: $100
- Average Resell: $210
- Release Date: Saturday, March 6th, 2021
- Colorway: VARSITY MAIZE/MIDNIGHT NAVY-WHITE
- Style Code: DD1391-700
Rocking a similar color scheme to the Iowa Dunk Low, the Nike Dunk Low Michigan features a yellow and navy upper.
Navy leather covers the toes, eye stays, heel overlays, and Swooshes. Varsity Maize underlays cover the side panels and the toe boxes. White midsoles and navy outsoles complete the look.
On StockX, the average selling price is $210 which is a very decent $110 gross profit. The Nike Dunk Low Goldenrod will likely have a slightly lower resale value.
Nike Dunk Low Goldenrod | A Closer Look
- Retail Price: $100
- Estimated Resell: $150
- Release Date: Wednesday, December 16th, 2021
- Colorway: Black/Goldenrod-White
- Style Code: DD1391-004
It appears almost as if Nike took the Dunk Low Michigan and just flipped the colors. However, this Dunk Low features jet black leather underlays that appear on the side panels, toe boxes, and on parts of the collars.
Throats feature a black shade as well while enveloped in contrasting Goldenrod laces. The titular shade continues on the eye stays, the heel overlays, Swooshes, and on the toes.
Interiors also indulge in the bright hue with black inserts and orange “Nike” banding.
White midsoles and yellow outsoles finish off the design.
