The Nike ISPA Flow 2020, through Nike’s Ingenuity and innovation, seems to be the perfect summer-time sneaker. Like most of the sneakers in the lineup, they’re targeting city dwellers to combat the everyday extremes of life.
Before we get into more details about the release and resale, let’s talk about some background. Where did the Nike ISPA lineup come from and what does it mean?
Skip to Conclusion for those in a hurry.
Nike ISPA| Design & Technology
The designers over at Nike are true innovators that continue to push the boundaries. The Nike ISPA lineup was made while keeping adaptability in mind which according to them, is achieved by using spare resources and anything useful at their disposal.
That’s not the only motivation however, the team at Nike also keeps in mind environmental sustainability. Shedding unnecessary parts saves a lot of plastic from polluting the environment. This has been a major focus for Nike since their “Move to Zero” initiative.
The first Nike ISPA react was a mid-top with an intriguing inspiration behind it. Designer Erick Ikeda said that the ISPA sneaker was created with the memorable Apollo 13 mission in mind. The Improvisation and Adaptability it took to seal the CO2 canisters from leaking inspired Erick to use the same approach.
The first sneaker had an effective water proof upper coupled with the sole of a Nike React Element 98. It also became apparent that the designers were going for a ‘reconstructed’ look with all the tape bandages, irregular swooshes and, an irregular lacing system.
Nike ISPA 2020 Collection
The acronym ISPA stands for Improvise, scavenge, protect and adapt. However, it means more than just those few words.
Improvisation is using items that are at their disposal. Scavenging is using left over or surplus parts from other sneakers in order to be more efficient. Protect signifies that the solution protects against the problem and finally, adapt means to “adapt all solutions to fit their broadest potential”.
The 2020 lineup saw many new releases both with low and excellent resale values. The collection so far includes the Nike ISPA Overreact FK, the Overreact Sandal and the highly sought after, Nike ISPA Road Warrior Volt.
To estimate the resale value of the Nike ISPA Flow 2020, let’s head on over to StockX. By assessing similar sneakers, we can get a good idea of what to expect from the Nike ISPA Flow 2020 sneakers.
Nike ISPA Overreact Sandal Black
Retail Price: $160
Peak Resell: $300
Release Date: 07/31/2020
Colorway: Black/Anthracite
This Overreact sneaker is transformed into a sandal with an easy to wear, slip-on style. The upper consists of multiple layering and straps and provides great breath-ability. The React mid-sole foam is shaped into a tread pattern and an improved black mid-sole finishes off the design.
On StockX, the Nike ISPA Overreact Sandal Black hasn’t exactly been super profitable but there is some money to be made here. The average selling price is $200 which is an average gross profit of $40. At peak resale, gross profits are as high as $140.
The over-all look of the silhouette is similar to the Nike ISPA Flow 2020 and I expect similar resale prices. For a more detailed look, see our article.
Nike ISPA Overreact Light Bone
Retail Price: $180
Peak Resell: $500
Release Date: 07/09/2020
Colorway: Sail/Multi Color-Barley Orange
The Nike ISPA Overreact Light bone is not only a breathable/summer-friendly sneaker, it’s also good for the environment. It strips away a lot of non-essential parts of a sneaker and improves breath-ability while sporting a Flyknit sail upper.
A tread patterned mid-sole and a ‘React’ cushioned out-sole finishes off the design. The over-all vibe is pretty futuristic.
On StockX they’ve been consistently selling for minor profits. The average selling price currently is $224 which is an average gross profit of around $44. At peak resale, gross profits are as high as $320.
Nike ISPA Overreact Sandal Wheat
Retail Price: $160
Peak Resell: $300
Release Date: 07/31/2020
Colorway: Wheat Gold/Brown
Released along with the ‘Thunder Grey’ colorway, this ISPA Sandal is sure to turn heads with its golden brown layering atop a React cushioned Sole. A tread patterned mid-sole completes the design.
On StockX, the resale value is similar to the aforementioned colorway. The average selling price per pair is $200 which is an average gross profit of $40. Had you sold these at peak resale, profit would have been as high as $140.
I believe the Nike ISPA Flow 2020 will have similar resale value because of the similar characteristics.
Nike ISPA Flow 2020 Medium Olive & Spruce Aura
Retail Price: $180
Estimated Resell: $240
Release Date: August/13/2020
Colorway: Medium Olive & Spruce Aura
These Nike ISPA sneakers are designed perfectly for the extremes of sports and even daily wear. These kicks are inspired by the “Do it yourself” approach taken by athletes. Also known as “Gram Shavers”, these athletes strip down everything unnecessary for optimal performance efficiency.
These sneakers are made to be as light weight and breathable as possible, making it the perfect summer-time sneaker. After detailed scientific research on the human foot’s heat maps, internal air inflow vents are design accordingly.
The first is the Nike ISPA Flow 2020 Medium Olive which features muted color tones while vibrant underneath. Mesh wraps the lateral sides while an olive color covers the upper made up of an array of different materials. An entirely yellow sole finishes off the design.
The second is the Nike ISPA Flow 2020 Spruce Aura that sports a brighter color on the upper while mundane down below. A white upper of varying materials covers the upper while open knit is found on the sides and heel. A neon collar and a matching sole completes the design.

Estimated Resell
As seen with the sneakers mentioned above, I believe you can expect similar small profits. The Nike ISPA Flow 2020 won’t do crazy numbers but they won’t let you lose your money either.
If you’re selling on StockX, to get your money back after applying a standard US tax rate and service fee. You’ll need to sell them for at least $210. Thus by using my estimated resell value, expect profits of around $30.
If you sell on eBay, you can earn net profits of around $60 per pair.
