One of the latest releases for the SB series has been the Nike Sb Dunk Low “Sean Cliver”.
Nike SB and Sean Cliver came together for a holiday special to close out 2020. Sean Cliver has a knack for designing Christmas-themed sneakers, like the 2012 Nike SB Dunk Krampus and this 2020’s Nike SB kept the holiday spirit alive with a brighter hued Dunk Low.
The sneaker retailed for a mere $110 on the Nike SNKRs application and has a gargantuan resale value of almost $740. This just makes me more excited to review the resale price of the Nike Sb Dunk Low “Street Hawker”.
Feel free to skip to the conclusion of the article to read up on the resale price of the sneaker. Now, without further delay, let’s get into the details of the Nike SB Dunk Low “Street Hawker”.
Nike SB Dunk Low “Street Hawker” – Details
“The Nike SB Dunk Low Street Hawker, designed by Guangzhou artist Jason Deng, gives big props to the bonding effect food culture has in China. Above, a watercolor painting from Deng shows the design inspiration: six regional dishes from six Chinese cities, combined with a slew of other, subtly-incorporated nods to Chinese cuisine” is what Nike has to say about the latest release. What’s interesting about the sneaker is that both feet have completely different designs.
The left shoe uses a lighter beige that resembles three flour-based dishes while the green suede on the toes likens it to a green bean soup from Beijing – Douzhi. Donut patterns are visible at the overlays while the lateral appears exactly like pita bread. The watercolor patterns remind us of mutton soup and further use of graphics resemble Shanghai noodles and blue skies.
The right shoe uses a metallic color as it simulates Chengdu hotpots. The toe box is heated up with boiling chili oil and the lateral-placed ostrich leathers seem like crispy roasted goose skin. if we take a good look at the Swoosh, it resembles the metal hooks that hang birds in butcher shops. The insole paints a picturesque landscape on a bench terrace.
