First up, the Nike Dunk High Bodega Legend Fauna Brown,
2020 is the year full of surprises, as Nike collaborates with Boston-based boutique, Bodega, on the Nike Dunk High.
Unlike any other Dunk to drop in 2020, this special partnership delivers a heavily detailed sneaker, which, described by the shop, is based on “Classic Americana”. The unexpected release merges two sports, basketball and baseball, into one while hitting on cultural moments in American style and history.
The Nike Dunk High Bodega Legend Fauna Brown Constructed to look like a traditional baseball mitt, the Nike Dunk High Bodega Legend Fauna Brown’s upper features a mix of textures and hues, as both suede and pebbled leather make up the majority of the sneaker.
In addition to materials, specific details such as iron-branded Bodega on the medial side, jeweled tortoiseshell Nike Swoosh on the lateral side, and rawhide lacing throughout the sneaker’s entirety elevate the sneaker’s status.
A stash pocket is added inside the tongue, a head nod to a baseball mitt’s inner webbed pocket.
In terms of resell value for the Nike Dunk High Bodega Legend Fauna Brown, we’ve seen some great numbers. With 1090+ sales on StockX, the sneaker has racked up a price premium of 158.3% and an average resale price of $389.
I just wanted to take a moment to say congratulations to all of you for making it out of 2020. Nothing more needs to be said about that year, let’s instead look forward to 2021. I know Sneaker Flippers will be taking 2021 head-on, I wish the absolute best for all of you! Now, back to the article!
Next up, the Jordan 11 Adapt White,
If there is one thing constant with sneaker releases, it’s that the Air Jordan 11 never misses a holiday season. But this year, Jordan Brand gifted us two new colorways of the Jordan 11, introducing a new form of the shoe to add to its legacy.
The Jordan 11 Adapt is the first self-lacing Air Jordan to ever release, marking new territory for accessible footwear for those with disabilities as well as upgrading technological advances to sneaker culture.
The Air Jordan 11 Adapt delivers a unique approach to the traditional basketball sneaker. The upper is composed of its quintessential patent leather wrapping, while mixed with lightweight textile material and a crimson Jumpman on the heel.
The midsole is where things get interesting, featuring light-up buttons to help adjust the shoe’s tightness to the wearer’s liking. As always, the outsole holds a carbon fiber plate for stability on the court.
This is another sneaker that is propelling us into the future. We saw this with the Adapt BB and now the Jordan 11. It’s crazy to think where the future of sneakers is in a year? 10 years?
In terms of resell value for the Jordan 11 Adapt White, we’ve also seen some great numbers. With hefty retail of $500, the sneaker has over 1250 sales on the StockX Marketplace. With that comes a price premium of 122.9% and an average resale price of $880.
Finally, the Nike LeBron 8 Lakers
With every championship ring, LeBron James continues to cement his place in basketball history. As his popularity grows and Nike continues to develop new signature sneakers, his older models become more admired.
To continue the legacy that is LeBron James, Nike has been retroing his older signature kicks. To end December of 2020, Nike brought back the LeBron 8, a sneaker that last released in 2011.
The Nike LeBron 8 Lakers don the LA team’s notable purple and gold colors. Home of the greats like the late Kobe Bryant, Magic Johnson, and now, LeBron James, the sneakers pay homage to the popular west coast franchise.
The latest LeBron 8 retro adds a new luxe look to the model, dressing the sneaker’s upper in premium suede. Familiar aspects of the silhouette come through on this Lakers colorway, such as LeBron’s iconic Lion logo embossed on the tongue and his signature stamped on the heel.
As fans of the Los Angeles Lakers continue to increase, the value of these sneakers and the ones that will come in the future will rise. The Lakers are building a super team and we know the fans and popularity that can come with that.
With Lebron at the forefront, it’s no surprise these sneakers are reselling for a profit.
With over 500 sales on the StockX Marketplace, the Nike LeBron 8 Lakers have racked up a price premium of 29% and an average resale price of $269.
Even if you did take a small loss this week, at least you learned that specific sneakers don’t do well on the market. You’ll be able to easily tell what sneakers will be profitable in the future. This information is so so so valuable.
