First up, the Nike Air Max 90 Infrared (2020)
For 2020, Nike brought back Hatfield’s “Infrared” Air Max 90 in true original form.
The shoe comes constructed in a mix of mesh, leather, and suede to give off that 1990 feel and vibe with its original stitching in the Swoosh and refined shape.
Officially referred to as the Air Max III (the silhouette’s former namesake), the pair creates nostalgia in an extensive full family size run and relatively faithful recreation. But while it appears near-identical, there does seem to be a slight distinction as the modern revival will make use of a “Radiant Red” instead of the original “Infrared.”
Elsewhere, the usual neutrals — White, Black, Cool Grey — dress adjacent, finishing off an homage that cares well for the details.
With the Air Max 90 being such a classic sneaker and so versatile, meaning you can wear it in pretty much any season, we would expect the resell value to be pretty good.
With over 40 sales on the StockX Marketplace, the Nike Air Max 90 Infrared (2020) has racked up a price premium of 95.9% and an average resale price of $172.
With the $120 retail, this sneaker would have definitely picked up a decent profit this week.
Next up, the Jordan 5 Retro Low Golf Lucky and Good,
The golf-ready iteration of the Air Jordan 5 Low gets blanketed in a Sail corduroy-like textile material all over the upper that is accompanied by Starfish and Neptune Green accents on the inner liner, tongue and heel branding, lace lock, and the signature shark teeth on the midsole.
This Air Jordan 5 Low nods to the ups and downs you will face throughout a round of golf and comes equipped with removable spikes on the translucent outsoles that read “Lucky” and “Good.”
Although this sneaker definitely has a refined audience, we’ve seen a lot of great things with the Jordan brand and golf.
Now in terms of resale for this sneaker, we have nothing on the StockX Marketplace. Yep, no sales.
This shoe is definitely not something people are willing to wait in line for – meaning it’s really a personal pair for those of you who enjoy golfing and the sneaker game!
Next up, the Nike Air Max 97 CM Black Metallic Gold
Still to this day, the Air Max 97 continues to play an important role for Nike Sportswear’s consistent output of GR colorways throughout the year, and lately the classic model has been fashioned with decorative motifs for its recent participation in the “Wing It” golf collection, as well as through its ACG Terra-inspired colorway.
Adding one more offering to its Fall/Winter repertoire, the Air Max member is now becoming dependent on a regal color scheme to outfit its latest offering.
The highlights of this particular pair surely come from the gilded accents that are present through a singular overlay just above the mudguard, as well as the medial/lateral tiny Swooshes and Nike check lace attachments present at the bottom of the throat; both of which feature rough textures.
Save for the matching golden Air units down below, the rest of the real estate is completely blacked out from head-to-toe to make for a simple two-toned ensemble.
This sneaker is definitely a fall/winter sneaker and will be perfect for the upcoming season. With just 2 sales on the StockX Platform, the Nike Air Max 97 CM Black Metallic Gold has a price premium of 8.3% and an average resale price of $191.
Just like the golf sneaker, this is a shoe that is really for personal wear. What is so valuable about these articles as a reseller is that you will be able to associate which sneakers are profitable.
This can be a problem that resellers face all the time. And if you are a reseller with a lot of capital, it can be a pretty big problem if you buy too many pairs of the wrong shoe.
Even if you did take a small loss this week, at least you learned that specific sneakers don’t do well on the market. You’ll be able to easily tell what sneakers will be profitable in the future. This information is so so so valuable.
