Adidas Yeezy — A Brief History
After Kanye West’s Nike deal came to an end, he wasted no time starting a new one with Adidas. He then first revealed their collaboration in late 2013 and the change from the Swoosh to the three stripes just added to the Yeezy line’s fame.
Kanye took it a step further when he marketed his new unreleased Yeezy’s while travelling and wearing them on high profile gatherings. The sneakerheads were just getting desperate for the release and the Yeezy Boost 750s buzz was legendary.
The Yeezy Boost 750 were then released in February 2015 and were immediately sold. The one of a kind suede grey colorway was only available in limited supply, but Kanye promised that he’d release enough Yeezy’s so that everybody could get a pair.
The Yeezy Boost 350
The Yeezy Boost 350 was the most well-known of Kanye’s Yeezy Boost line and were released in June 2015 at a retail price of $200. The “Turtle Dove” opened the way for a collection that would go on to dominate sneaker sales around the world.
The Yeezy Boost 350 “Pirate Black” was launched in August 2015. The 350s debuted in November 2015 with “Moonrock,” followed by “Oxford Tan” in December of the same year.

Adidas Yeezy Boost 380 “Alien Blue” — A Closer Look
The Alien Blue is inspired by its OG model and the upper is made of the same Primeknit as the original but the inner has been tweaked a little with an extra layer of knitting.
We can also see the latest Yeezy lacing system that wraps around the sneaker, providing a more personalized fit for the wearer, which is complemented with a tan-hued collar that contrasts with the camo design.
The reflective hi-vis material used on the sneaker adds up to an already exciting combination of wintery hues, creating a cold and bold look.
Below, the sharply cut Adidas Boost midsole that is featured in two-tone that portray parts of winter camo and melting ice followed by a grey rubber outsole, completing Kanye’s signature style.
