Ye has had an interesting history behind his brand. All of which really add weight to his title of being an actual sneaker designer and not just some musician.

After establishing his own company, his sneakers are still extremely popular. Not super high resale values but they’re still quite profitable. The reason for mediocre resale is his vision of producing as many sneakers as people want.

Kanye’s yeezy lineup still however, sells for decent profits. As is expected from the Adidas Yeezy Quantum Ophanim.

Kanye has been teasing a performance sneaker release for decades prior to the actual release. Sneaker-heads long awaited Kanye’s sneaker debut into the basketball world. Although they had to wait a long time, in the end, the sneaker was well worth the wait.

Yeezy has always pushed out sneakers that were more or less comfort/lifestyle oriented. That’s why a Yeezy performance sneaker was a pretty big deal once it was announced.

The Quantum featured interesting design choices including inspiration from the 700 and 350 v2 models. The toe box shape and paneling is reminiscent of the 700 while the wavy pattern appears to be inspired by the 350 V2.

Interestingly, because of the bright 3M that covers a large portion of the sneaker. They have been banned from the NBA as the reflective materials had been deemed “distracting” by officials.

That however, may have added to the anticipation while giving the Quantum that attractive “Bad Boy” image. As a result, resale has been great and I expect the same from the Adidas Yeezy Quantum Ophanim.

This highly anticipated released dropped back in in spring of 2020. Debuting as Kanye’s first performance sneaker.

The Adidas Yeezy Quantum BB comes in a high-top design with bold black collars and suede capped toe regions. A grey prime knit upper, reflective detailing, reinforced heel caps, and translucent sole completes the design.

On StockX, these sneakers are extremely profitable with an average selling price of $840. That’s an average gross profit of $590 while at peak resale prices, gross profits are over $1,900!

The Adidas Yeezy Quantum Ophanim will likely have resale more similar to the lifestyle variant.

Adidas Yeezy Quantum (Lifestyle)

Peak Resell: $1,460

Release Date: 02/16/2020

Colorway: Quantum

This lifestyle variant of the Adidas Yeezy Quantum released back in February 2020. It features almost identical materials and color tones to the performance version with very minor differences.

A prime knit grey upper with wavy stripes and 3M reflective panels covers the sneaker. A black collar, suede overlay, and a translucent out-sole finishes off the design.

A Major difference between this and the performance version is the resale. These sell for significantly lower prices with the average being just over $480. Thus on average, gross profits are still a respectable $230.

Adidas Yeezy Quantum Barium

Release Date: 06/25/2020

Colorway: BARIUM

The Adidas Yeezy Quantum barium features a darker grey prime knit upper and suede overlay. A reinforced heel cap, reflective material, extended collar, and translucent sole completes the design.

On StockX, they’ve been selling for gross profits of around $80 per pair. At peak resale however, gross profits are as high as $520 per pair.

I believe the Adidas Yeezy Quantum Ophanim will have slightly higher resale value.

Kanye continues his Biblical inspired naming trend with his latest “Ophanim” Quantum sneaker, finishing the month of September off with a bang!

The sneaker is inspired by wheels seen in Ezekiel’s vision of the chariot (Ezekiel 1:15-21). This possibly hints at the lack of a cage that leaves the upper on full display.

As a result, we can see clearer than ever before, the dark brown prime knit upper with hints of fawn and teal. The heel panel, tongue, and overlay feature a darker dusty brown color while the collar and translucent sole remains true to the originals.
