In this week’s sneaker resale value/release recap, we cover all the hottest sneakers to buy of August from the 23rd to the 30th.
One incredibly significant drop was found among several other releases this week that were truly beneficial for resellers.
Details are a must so we can have a better understanding of future drops, so let’s dive straight into it.
Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Starfish”
- Retail Price: $130
- Average Resell: $240
- Release Date: Thursday, August 26th, 2021
- Colorway: Starfish/White-Black
Jordan Brand implements one of their most iconic colorways for the first time on the Air Jordan 1 Low.
In addition to a white leather-based upper, there are white leather side panels and toe boxes on the shoes as well. White tongue with Starfish branded tongue tags are mounted under traditional black laces. Side panels feature black leather Swooshes while the iconic orange shade covers the eye stays, heel overlays, scuff guards, and the interiors.
On StockX, these sneakers are shipping for an average price of around $240 per pair. That’s a gross profit of around $110.

Fragment x Sacai x Nike LD Waffle “Blue Void”

- Average Resell: $365
- Release Date: Friday August 27th 2021
- Colorway: Blue Void/White-Obsidian-White
Nike, Sacai, and Fragment’s three-way collaboration was promising sky-high returns for anyone that’s lucky enough to cop a pair. The Fragment x Sacai x Nike LD Waffle Blue Void did not disappoint.
Blue suede overlays with darker mesh underlays and white swooshes, collars, and tongues, this was an instant hit.
Its average selling price on StockX is around $365 per pair. That’s a great gross profit of $195, not a bad return for the lucky people who managed to get their hands on a pair.

Air Jordan 6 “Dongdan”

- Average Resell: $350
- Release Date: Sunday, August 29th, 2021
- Colorway: White/Black-Tour-Yellow-Total Orange
China’s streetball game is an annual tradition, and Jordan Brand celebrates it with the Dongdan collection that includes a brand new Air Jordan 6.
The value of these sneakers surprised most sneakerheads as we expected a bit over lunch money for these.
On the secondary market, these kicks are selling for an average of $350, which is a very good $160 gross profit.

Air Jordan 4 “Lightning”

- Average Resell: $312
- Release Date: Saturday, August 28th, 2021
- Colorway: Tour Yellow/White-Dark Blue Grey
Rumors of an Air Jordan 4 return have been swirling ever since 2010. During the silhouette’s 15th anniversary, the shoe has made a triumphant return.
Ups and downs characterize the 4’s popularity throughout its life. For the most part, these sneakers were popular, but their resale value fluctuated greatly depending on the colorway and how limited they were.
The listing price on StockX is a comfortable $312 per pair. That’s an expected gross profit of $92.
