With the Jordan 4 Retro Metallic Green,  Jordan Brand pays tribute to one of its original colorway motifs.

The first shoe in its lineage to have the “Metallic” treatment was the Air Jordan 1 in 1985. Originally, four metallic colors were available: red, orange, purple, and green. The color blocking of the Jordan 1 Metallic Green and Jordan 4 Retro Classic Green served as the basis for this release.

The top of this Jordan 4 is made of white leather, has white netted underlays, and has Metallic Green accents on the eyelets.

The finishing touches are the white sole, metallic green air bubble, and the Jumpman emblem in metallic green.

This was a very hype release and although the Air Jordan 4 Retro SB Pine Green is not as profitable, its resale value is still pretty decent.

With the debut of the Jordan 4 Retro SB Pine Green, Nike SB’s partnership with Jordan helps develop the perfect shoe for the skatepark to the basketball court.

The rumor of a Nike SB x Jordan Brand effort on the Air Jordan 4 last year excited the sneaker community.

In 2019, they debuted the Nike SB x Air Jordan 1 in high-top and low-top versions, continuing their illustrious partnership with Lance Mountain from the previous year.

When the sneaker was first shown in February of this year, many people were drawn to the Nike SB emblem on its heel.

Yet upon closer investigation, it becomes clear that this duo is more complex than it first seems.

As we’ve previously noted, little changes to the footwear improve the skate experience. The original ’89 form is back, along with other components including flexible plastic detailing, zonal gum rubber at the outsole, more tongue cushioning, and more.

Its presentation in “Pine Green” puts white front and center, letting the color blanket the foundation while the shoe’s namesake color dresses important AJ 4 components like the heel.
