The Jordan 6 “Alligator” Release Guide
The weekend of Black Friday is shaping up to become a sneaker reseller’s dream.
With the Yeezy 350 v2 black restock happening with Adidas and Nike pushing their CLOT Fragment collection—Jordan Brand looks to join in on the bonanza.
Sporting the iconic silhouette of a sneaker worn by His Airness himself—brings the Air Jordan 6 “Alligator.” After recently dropping the Air Max 90 Camo Crocs, Nike decides to implement a reptilian look yet again on another classic model.
The only knock on these kicks is the fact they will only be introduced in kids’ sizes only.

AIR JORDAN 6 ALLIGATOR: DEEP DIVE
To say the Jordan 6 gets retrod into a myriad of different designs each year is an understatement.
Even Jordan enthusiasts wouldn’t be able to tell you off the top of their heads how many Jordan 6’s have been released just this year.
We will go over some of the most hyped Jordan 6s of the year, but before that, a description of the shoe and why it warrants the “Alligator” description is in order.
This imminent pair’s texture resembles a white croc skin design that’s permeated all throughout its leather upper. You’ll have to look close—although it looks similar to the crumbled leather texture like the Jordan 1 Phantom.
The rich white leather upper sits plush on a dark black midsole and pale-brown outsole.
In addition, the heel counter displays a golden Jumpman on the “AIR” text. Just above the heel counter is the crowd-pleasing pull tab, with a dark black colorway that is unique to all Jordan 6s.
Rounding out the middle is the 3M holes on its quarter panel, mudguard, and the rear. Also, in the tongue proudly showcases a Jumpman logo with the ever-popular drawstring only found on the Jordan 6s.
The bottom of the shoe presents a golden Jumpman with the dark black and pale brown hues.
The croc skin outer layer is presumably to offer an exquisite vibe, the type of sneaker you may want to puff a cigar while in Tom Fords—well not really since only kid’s sizes are available, but you get the gist.
It’s a crime that this is a kids-exclusive pair, as most sneakers of this caliber should be sought-out by kids and adults alike.
THE AIR JORDAN 6 INFRAREDS
As mentioned earlier, there has been a stream of Jordan 6s released this year. While some were hyped, others were not, however, they have all been able to feature a creative colorway that comes as usual to the Jordan 6’s.
The Jordan 6 Infrared is a crowd favorite, to say the least, and this year was the 4th time the retro released.
However, this time was the first time since 2000 that the model returned with the original Nike Air detailing on the rear—trust me, this was essential.
The original Nike Air detail was also on the original pair Michael Jordan laced up when he won his first NBA championship.
The Infrared model is similar to the Alligators in that the core layers, such as the midsole, outsole, upper, and tongue are alike, however, the colorways have a stark difference.
The infrared canvas boasts an upper that is black, while the Jordan brand logo and parts of the midsole have the bright crimson red.
Finally, the icy bottom rounds out the iconic pair of Jordans, of which are grails to many sneakerheads.
THE AIR JORDAN 6 “TRAVIS SCOTTS”
To say these sneakers were hyped would not do justice, of which is common to all of the Hip-Hop Star Travis Scott’s collaborations with Jordan Brand.
Travis Scott’s branding has now reached that top-tier territory that only Virgil Abloh and Kanye West proudly reside with their Off-White and Yeezy line, respectively.
The Travis Scott Jordan 6’s were especially hyped because the drop date was pushed back into the month of October, and sneakerheads everywhere needed their next Travis Scott drop fix.
The Travis Scott Jordan 6 is creatively crafted with an olive green upper, university red hints on the pull tab and drawstrings, with a black and pale green outsole.
Furthermore, you’ll find a small pouch on the right side of the upper to further bolster the thought process that went into such a feat.
Since this is a blog that is ubiquitous in articles that describe all profitable shoe releases that hit the market each day, it demands brief information on how these kicks performed post-retail via Stockx.
Although the sneaker has plummeted in price before the initial drop, the Travis Scott Jordan 6 still feature a return-on-investment well over 200%.
JORDAN 6 ALLIGATOR PROFITABILITY
The kid-exclusive line of Jordan 6s will profit you a little change if you are able to grab a pair of the grade school sizes.
Sneaker exchange platform Stockx does not have any recorded sales as of yet, however, there are people who are asking for $200 for a pair.
Heading over to eBay shows that there are sellers who are also selling for above retail price.
Rounding out various reselling platforms, GOAT, also displays sellers selling for above retail price.
Although these shoes are not going to bring you $200 or $300 per flip, there’s a chance these could at least bring you a little change. Furthermore, there is always a chance the resell value grows over time.
However, be sure to check the online sneaker reselling platforms, like the ones mentioned, to see what the market defines the value of these before purchasing.
The Jordan 6 Alligators are set to release for kids-exclusive on the weekend of Black Friday but there are many other hyped shoes releasing as well. These include the Nike CLOT Fragments and a restock of the Yeezy 350 v2 Black.
