Of course, it needs to be said right out of the gate that we do not expect the Tom Sachs x Nike NikeCraft General Purpose Shoe ‘Archive’ to resell for anywhere near what this sneaker sells for.
This is more of a comparison sneaker to show Nike and Tom Sachs’s style. It’s also worth noting that the Mars Yard 1.0 was released a decade ago and was released in extremely limited numbers.
It was also one of the first sneakers released by Tom Sachs and Nike and had much, much more hype around it, as you can see from not just the resell price but the retail price as well.
The Mars Yard 1.0 is built predominantly out of a light brown suede and a light material called Vectran, a type of fabric used in the parachutes of the Mars Excursion Rover.

Based on Sachs’ ongoing research into how ‘our bodies meet the ground,’ the low-top sports a yellow mesh upper with tonal suede overlays and a contrasting white Swoosh. Orange webbing tabs at the tongue and heel assist with easy on and off.
