Devin Booker’s Nike Book 1 “Moss Point”
Devin Booker̵7;s first season as a Nike signature athlete has begun. Following a series of first looks in the Fall and a global unveiling at the Nike World Basketball Festival in NYC in September, the Book 1 is set to make a bold debut, generating anticipation among fans.
Booker revealed in a recent Complex Sneaker Shopping episode that the debut orange colorway of the Book 1 will be highly exclusive, with only 500 pairs dropping in December. Despite their scarcity, sources from Booker’s camp assure us that more is in store for the Book 1, including the “Moss Point” colorway seen in 2019 on an Air Force 1.
The muted Air Force 1, part of a Nike Sportswear collection in 2019, paid homage to Devin Booker’s Moss Point High School days. Contrary to assumptions, it draws inspiration from a corner store frequented by Booker in Mississippi. In a late November game against the Golden State Warriors, Booker showcased the Book 1 “Moss Point” in a grey/ivory colorway, featuring smooth light blue leather, greyscale suede accents, and a metallic heel counter with “Yes Ma’am, No Sir” embroidery in jet-black. The clad-cream sole unit and swapped serial tabs on the tongue complete the look.
While the limited edition orange “Chapter 1” Book 1 is set to launch this December, a broader release is anticipated in Spring 2024.
