From Hongru Hou

The Yeezy 350 V2 is possibly one of the most recognizable sneakers to date and you can owe it all to the man himself, Kanye West.

This success, however, did not come easily and Ye had to hop through quite a few hoops before he would score high with Adidas.

Before the days of Adidas x Yeezy, West worked with quite a few companies. He’s responsible for various hyped sneakers that many would kill to get their hands on.

A good example is the “Bapesta” which he designed with A Bathing Ape in 2007 and is currently reselling for sky-high prices of over $4,000!

Then, he also collaborated with the likes of the luxury fashion giant, Louis Vuitton. Kanye made several sneakers with the French fashion house, many of which are highly sought after by collectors today.

Then, the “Louis Vuitton Don” moved on to even larger projects, scoring a deal with Nike. After Yeezy Air hit the market, there was no other sneaker that could rival it.

However, all good things eventually must come to an end. The partnership ended due to a dispute over creative control and royalties. Both of which were offered to him in his deal with Adidas in 2015.

This collaboration set the stage for more groundbreaking sneakers to come. One of them being the Yeezy 350 V2, predecessors to the V1s that would make Yeezy a household name.

Ever since then, we’ve seen countless colorways that have reached a saturation point as people are beginning to find additional colorways more monotonous.  Thus resale values have also fallen.

But are they still profitable in 2021?

Are the 350 V2s Still Worth Flipping?

Many people believe that because of the frequent restocks and various new colorway releases of the 350 V2s, it might gradually kill their hype.

We confess that this may be true, to an extent. This silhouette used to be a highly lucrative investment, however, after various restocks and endless colorways, overall resale value declined. The Yeezy 350 V2 Zebra and Cinder are good examples of this.

Although the supply of the 350s is increasing, these kicks still sell out and often sell for small profits such as the Yeezy 350 V2 Flax. I believe they’ll continue to be profitable and resell for variating profits.

The latest addition, on the other hand, may likely be a game-changer. To help us estimate resale for the Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Mono Ice, let’s head on over to StockX.

Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Cream White

Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Cream White Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Mono Ice

Retail Price: $220

Peak Resell: $1,500

Release Date: 04/29/2017

Colorway: Cream White

This 350 V2 is perhaps one of the cleanest colorways out right now and because of that, they are fairly popular.

The Prime Knit upper is covered in a clean cream shade with SPLY 350 branding on the side stripes that’s barely visible. White sock liners, heel pulls, and laces also blend in perfectly, leaving almost no room for a stark contrast. White soles complete the look.

The average selling price for these kicks is currently around $400 on the resale market. These used to be more valuable, however, the massive 2018 restock lowered its value quite a bit. The Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Mono Ice will likely have a higher resale value.

Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Blue Tint

Retail Price: $220

Peak Resell: $1,200

Release Date: 12/16/2017

Colorway Blue Tint

This incredibly popular Yeezy 350 also released in 2017 and sold out within seconds.

As usual, prime knit covers most of this sneaker’s upper which is highly reminiscent of the Zebra colorway. A white base with dark stripes is contrasted by “Blue Tint” hues on the heel pulls and sock liners while also permeating through from under the translucent soles.

Red hits on the heel pull and SPLY-350 on the lateral sides complete the design.

This 350 V2 has a resale value of around $500 which is over a $200 gross profit. They’ve even been sold for as high as $1,200!

Colorway Cloud White

This Adidas Yeezy, although features two tonal upper similar to most other colorways, is high in demand.

Uppers consist of white prime knit with darker stitching that permeates through. Milky lateral side stripes and translucent soles complete the design.

On the secondary market, these kicks have a resale value that’s hovering around $600 per pair. I believe the latest Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Mono Ice will likely have a similar resale value.

Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Mono Ice | A Detailed Look

Retail Price: $220

Estimated Resell: $500+

Release Date: June 18th/2021 (US)

Colorway: MONO ICE

Kanye West is all set to shake up the iconic 350 V2 with not only an aesthetical refresh but also a material overhaul. The “Mono Pack” includes a total of 4 colorways, particularly the Mono Clay, Mono Light, Mono Mist, and the Mono Ice.

As the sobriquet suggests, the Mono Ice features ice-blue hues on top of the upper. Speaking of which, the uppers have the usual prime knit swapped out for a monofilament mesh material. This material is semi-translucent and hides a web catch-like design underneath.

The side stripe includes a subtle ice-blue shade while heel pulls sport a darker blue hue. Milky white laces that go through molded eyelet panels, sock liners, and interiors match the milky translucent soles that are still encapsulated by the highly revered Boost technology to complete this brand new design.

How To Buy For Retail

You can likely buy these 350s at select Yeezy stockists and come June 24th. The retail price per pair is set at $220 for adult sizes.

Estimated Resell Prediction

Although it’s difficult to predict just how valuable these might be once officially released, there’s no denying that these will sell out instantly.

Using my estimated resell value, expect gross profits of around $250 per pair. These kicks should be a must-cop for anyone that’s looking to resell. Thus earning the “Hype” spot on our Hype Meter.
