January 2021’s Hottest Sneakers to Resell
Happy new year everyone! Welcome back to another action-packed year filled with crazy releases for you all to look forward to. December (and 2020) is finally over, and now we move into January. December had some great releases, and unfortunately January is usually quite a slow month in terms of sneakers. The January blues have been eased for members of our Winner̵7;s Circle Cook Group, with over $180 in cash of giveaways already up for grabs. There is certainly some interesting drops to look out for, this month, so let’s get into it
1. Air Jordan 1 High “Volt Gold” – Saturday, 9th January 2021
Retail: $170
Peak Resell: $250
Potential Profit: $80
No better way to start off a new year than a great Jordan 1 release. Although this is definitely not the greatest Jordan ever, it will definitely perform quite well in the resell market, especially in the usual sizes of 7-9.5. This vibrant colourway is certain to turn heads of sneakerheads and non-sneakerheads alike. Expect them to be a reasonably easy cop, with a decent profit margin possible.
2. Nike SB Dunk Low “Street Hawker” – Wednesday, 13th January 2021
Retail: $110
Peak Resell: $800
Potential Profit: $690
2020 was certainly the year of the dunk, with Nike pumping out countless colourways and sneakerheads and skaters worldwide ate them up. This year is looking like it will be no different, and SB dunks will now be stocked in more stores than last year also. This crazy colourway is inspired by Chinese culture and food, and is definitely going to be a tough cop as demand is through the roof.
3. Nike Dunk Low Retro Black/White – Thursday, 14th January 2021
Retail: $100
Peak Resell: $300
Potential Profit: $200
The Nike Dunk popularity continues to grow, and obviously Nike are trying to meet demand by making more and more retro colourways of the silhouette. This time, it will be released in a black and white colourway; a simple, but very popular colourway. Stock should be decent, but will still be a difficult cop due to the sheer amount of demand.
4. Nike Dunk Low Retro “UNLV” – Thursday, 14th January 2021
Retail: $100
Peak Resell: $300
Potential Profit: $200
Another very hyped dunk release on the 14th, this time in a red and grey colourway. It looks very similar to the Nike x Off White Dunk Low University Red, but without the Off White branding. Just like the Black/White releasing on the same day, stock should be decent, but again, will be quite a difficult cop.
5. Nike Dunk Low Retro “Sail Coast” – Thursday, 14th January 2021
Retail: $100
Peak Resell: $300
Potential Profit: $200
Another great dunk drop on the 14th! This time, in a blue and white ‘UNC-like’ colourway. Just like the other 2 dunks releasing on this date, stock is quite good, but demand is super high, so will still be a difficult cop. Any size is worth going for in these, but in my opinion the smaller sizes – especially in this colourway – are going to net you the most profit.
6. Nike Dunk High PRM “Dark Russet” – Thursday, 28th January 2021
Retail: $120
Peak Resell: $300
Potential Profit: $180
A recent leak, it looks like this Dunk High should be releasing on the 28th of this month. Stock should be medium-level, and there is tons of room for profit thanks to the low Dunk High retail of $120. All sizes are a go for this drop.
7. Nike Dunk Low “Medium Curry” – Thursday, 28th January 2021
Retail: $110
Peak Resell: $350
Potential Profit: $240
2021 is looking like another very strong year for dunks, and this “Medium Curry” colourway looks like it will be a hit among sneakerheads. The brown, earthy tones ensure that the shoe will go with many outfits, so I feel this will be in high demand; just like all dunks. Smaller sizes and sizes 8-11 should do fantastic.
That’s all for this month so far. This article will be periodically updated with more releases, so make sure to check back and see what has been added! If you cop just one pair of each sneaker on this list, you would invest $700. If you sold at peak resell, it would get you roughly $2250. This is a net profit of $1550. If you’re not reselling yet, 2021 is the year to start!
Til next time,
Alex
