Recap from Week 3

Here’s what went down with week 3 last Thursday: The Vans Old Skool and Half Cabs were a massive success and actually just saw a a sneaky restock the other day! The other popular pieces were the penguins hooded fleece jacket, the New Era s logo beanie, textured small box sweater, and the Pat McGrath lipstick.

Check out the last droplist here. Were you able to cop anything? Without further ado let’s go over the more popular items heading into this week.

Collaborations

Another day, another collaboration — but finally, one with some promise! The new surprise drop from Supreme features collaborations with Peter Saville, Sancheeto, Yuuka Asakura, and esteemed Japanese designer, Yohji Yamamoto. Obviously this line-up is huge, but as the New York streetwear bastion has been known to knock high-end fashion collabs out of the park, this should follow in the footsteps of its past collections with Jean-Paul Gaultier and Louis Vuitton (FW17).

Within the forthcoming release, you’ll find some sure-fire cops such as premium white puffer jackets, classic parkas with graffiti-like details, a floral sweater (a piece of premium Grailed resell estate) shirts, hoodies, crewnecks, T-shirts with original Yamamoto sketches (Portrait and Wolf), and a beanie. Refer to photo above for retail pricing. If you have the capital, go for anything in the YY collection.

However, the first thing that springs to mind when Yamamoto is mentioned is usually his signature loose and black tailoring, along with his avant-garde aesthetics, and his Y-3 sub-line. Supreme have succeeded in finding an organic connection to Yamomoto’s reputation as a master tailor with a new addition to Supreme’s suiting line: An all-black wool suit, which — with an arresting graphic patch on the back — looks like it’ll be eaten up by high-fashion aficionados and Supreme fans alike.

Elsewhere, the collection includes leather outerwear, and even though it is just a red/black leather jacket with Supreme branding and a YY signature (aka not the most creative collaborative design) these outerwear pieces certainly stand out thanks to the slick design of the graphics on the back.

Have you noticed some pieces are paying hommage to the Black Sabbath albums cover? As well as “could be the Box Logo” hoodie releasing in December.

                Conclusion

There you have it everyone, that’s our wrap up of week 4 for F/W 20. A super exciting drop with the YY collab and something for everyone. I truly believe a lot of these pieces will have some serious staying power. I wouldn’t dump any of your product too early whatsoever unless you’re getting a sky ball offer.

After the drop, always see if you can find or make sales on platforms like Grailed, Ebay, Reddit or Instagram. This way, buyer and seller can get the most out of the sale and not succumb to fees.
