This has been one of the best months for reselling streetwear and rare shoes on platforms like eBay and self hosted e-commerce stores.

Keep reading this until the very end until you see the total profit for December, it will certainly shock you.

You can make a lot of money flipping shoes like Jordans, Human Race NMDs, Yeezy Boost, and many many more.

Some of these names may be foreign to you as they are to many people, but knowing them is worth more than just new knowledge, as you will see it can pay off in real dollars.

What brands are the most profitable?

Let̵7;s get started by educating you on what brands of clothing and shoes are the best to buy for profit

If you’re reading this and you happen to be a reseller of random items from Goodwill or other thrift or outlet stores like Ross and Marshalls, you need to start doing it smarter by niching down on stuff that’s actually profitable and consistent rather than relying on luck.

Sure, you can stumble into Goodwill and find some rare item for pennies on the dollar and make a 1000% profit, but how many times have you gone in with no luck, or bought an item for a good price and had it sit there for months before it sold? You need to pick a niche market that has consistent sales so that you’re not sitting on inventory for more than a couple of days and you are sure you can make a profit on these items.

To have a profitable business that is consistent, you need to focus on selling respected brands.

Some of these brands have vintage roots, others have futuristic trends, but all of them are desirable enough and hard to get so that those who are educated and in the know are able to profit off of them.

You’ll see some of the best brands to buy in this article.

We also have a highly reviewed five part guide that will walk you through resale success that you will see the numbers of in this post.

Reselling streetwear is where all of the best money is at right now

A few words of warning: there can be quite a stigma in reselling streetwear, so be prepared to get some sh*t for doing what you’re about to do as I have gotten before, but lay low and if you do most or all of your business online it’ll never actually affect you.

Here is a list of some of the hype streetwear that has dropped in the past month or so. It will include some of the best names in streetwear, and if it’s your goal to jump in on this market, be sure to focus on these brands when building your resale business.

This list does not include absolutely everything that was resellable, but it’s a good 80% or so of it. The fact that we didn’t include every piece of resellable clothing shows you just how profitable flipping rare streetwear and footwear can be.

At the end of the list, you’ll see how much you will have made had you taken the time to jump on these opportunities.

The potential profit is calculated by the peak resell price minus the retail and roughly 15%, which accounts for fees that selling platforms like eBay and GOAT and shipping costs.

Reselling examples

Without further ado, let’s kick off this list.

First, there were two Yeezy opportunities.
We saw two Yeezy Boost 350 low opportunities, starting with the super limited Frozen Yellow colorway followed one week later by a much more “general release” (in Yeezy terms, this still means limited) Beluga 2.0.

Complexcon was a sneaker and music event held in Long Beach CA on the first weekend of November 2017. Not only was it a cool event, but there were opportunities to grab limited sneakers to either keep or resell at healthy profit margins.

Although there were many rare shoes and items of clothing available exclusively at the event, and most people don’t live close enough to Long Beach CA to justify going (although seeing the profits may make you change your mind), we will mention the 2 notable releases that were also available on a limited nationwide basis after the event was the Air Jordan 1 “Top 3” Gold and the Just Don Air Force 1.

  • Air Jordan 1 “Top 3” Gold
  • Retail: $160
  • Peak Resale Price: $1000
  • Potential Profit: ~$750 per pair
  • Just Don Air Force 1

The Just Don Air Force 1 was not the only rare Air Force 1 to drop this year. Nike is celebrating the 35th anniversary of its iconic shoe this year in 2017, so there were a few other notable collaborations. Two of the rarest and most profitable for resellers were the Travis Scott Air Force 1 and the Acronym Air Force 1.

Clothing Items

Although streetwear resale is still heavily shoe focused, there is opportunity in clothing items as well.

Supreme x North Face

Supreme x North Face Mountain jacket: www.supremenewyork.com
Supreme x North Face Mountain jacket: supremenewyork.com Interesting fact: Supreme.com is owned by the Perry Ellis brand and has nothing to do with Supreme New York.

As mentioned in the last article about Becoming a Supreme Reselling Master , quite an opportunity exists for those who know the tools of the trade to acquire and trade these rare items. Other resellable items from this day, like the Supreme Polartec Balaclava mask were resellable at profits around $50 per item, but we’ll focus just on a few of the Supreme x North Face stuff that came out that Thursday on November 30 2017.

This has been a good period for reselling streetwear. For those who think reselling is dead, you’re looking in the wrong direction.

We’ve totaled up the potential profit if you were able to get just one item per release. There are people out there using insider secrets to get multiple pairs, so for them, the number may be bigger.

*Drumroll please…*

Total Month Potential Profit

$14,550~
This is the profit you would have made, in the period of about one month, had you gotten just 1 item per release.

You’ll see that although most of the opportunity lies in shoes, there are juicy profits to be made in clothing as well. As I wrote in this article, Best Season to Resell Sneakers, we are in the prime time of one of the best reselling seasons.

It’s perfect because while most people are fretting about lack of money due to Christmas shopping or other holiday expenses, you can take care of the money fears by noticing these incredible opportunities to make extra money to cover those expenses that come during this time of year by reselling streetwear.

People using expert methods often end up with multiple pairs or items per release, so you can easily double that number as a realistic profit forecast for a serious streetwear reseller. Even if you do this casually and don’t know a lot about the insider methods but you get a tip off on what hot releases you can get, you may get 30% or 50% of these profits which still results in enough money to take care of your student loans or car payments or weekend fun money for that entire month.

One thing to take note of is that the profit potential is very different today, mere weeks after. If you do your own research, you’ll see that the greatest opportunity lies in the days within the release of the hyped item.

The *peak* resale price was mentioned, and in most cases, that price has dropped. Even then, at a 50% drop in prices, you’re looking at a net of $7,000, in other words, the take home of a job after taxes that pays over the $100,000 salary mark.

Why do people even pay resale??

A lot of the reason that people pay up is so that they can be seen right away wearing the newest stuff, and in a city like NYC or LA, wearing the shoes 2 weeks later is simply too late to get the attention that the wearers desire, so the price drops accordingly. Think of the upcharge like a VIP, a lot of those that buy resale even enjoy the fact that they paid resale:

If you haven’t already concluded, the reason that there is such a hefty profit is that the majority of people will get zero of these releases and thus make a whopping $0.00.

That’s why this controversial in depth guide has been put together to help people get these releases. This guide will be available on a limited quantity basis so that the competition and market is not saturated. If traffic gets too high to this page or too many people buy the guide, the price will continue to go up or it will be taken down.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this revelation of this underground opportunity for reselling. As mentioned previously, there is still controversy in the practice of reselling, but so long as the supply is limited and the demand is high, there will be a resale market.

The brands know it’s going on and doesn’t seem to mind, as they basically have guaranteed sales of their entire inventory of a product within minutes of its release due to the combined demand of both resellers and superfans.

Take your reselling game to the next level
