Before we take a detailed look at the Patta Nike Air Max 1 Monarch, let’s see how valuable Air Max 1 is in 2021.
Nike Air Max 1 | Resale In 2021
The Air Max 1 is one of Nike’s most iconic sneakers to date and perhaps one of their very first actual flagships with the Air Unit attached.
It was inspired by the Pompidou Centre in Paris and turned into a cultural icon as soon as it hit the shelves.
These sneakers became a staple and even transcended sports and dominated streetwear sneakers. In regions such as the US and Europe, the AM1 was worn frequently. Nike used this silhouette to enter these markets and they frequently turned out to be a success.
In 2021, however, even though popularity is still high, the resale value is relatively mediocre.
The Air Max 1 Anniversary Orange has a retail price of around $180 while the recent Air Max 1 Lemonade has a resale value of under $160.
The collaboration with Patta, however, will definitely be one to keep your eyes on as they probably will be profitable. To estimate its resale, let’s head on over to StockX.
CLOT x Nike Air Max 1 Kiss Of Death
- Retail Price: $150
- Average Resell: $230
- Release Date: Saturday, March 27th, 2021
- Colorway: NET/DEEP RED-ORANGE BLAZE
- Style Code: DD1870-100
This colorway brings back the classic collaborative colorway from 2006 which is now worth over $1,000 on the secondary market.
The CLOT Air Max 1 KOD was released in early 2021 and features a transparent toe box. Inspired by Chinese tradition, this sneaker fuses the East and West with Chinese graphics and hints on a modern Air Max design.
Crimson leather Swooshes, orange midsoles, and grey outsoles complete the look.
The average selling price on the secondary market is $230 which is an $80 gross profit. Expect similar profits from the Patta x Nike Air Max 1 Monarch.
Patta x Nike Air Max 1 Monarch | A Closer Look
- Retail Price: $160
- Estimated Resell: $250
- Release Date: Friday, October 15th, 2021 (TBC)
- Colorway: Metallic Silver/Monarch-Pure Platinum
- Style Code: DH1348-001
If you’re familiar with Patta and Nike’s collaboration from 2009, you’d know it’s a big deal. The previous colorways are selling for north of $2,000 and although these might not be as hyped, it’s worth knowing that there is potential value here.
This colorway is reminiscent of the Air Max 1 Anniversary Orange but deviates when it comes to the mesh panels on the toe boxes and collars.
White leather covers the side panels while a ‘Monarch’ hue covers the Swooshes and the mudguards that are further embellished by small silver Swooshes.
Dual-branded tongues add a touch of detail while inserts feature Patta’s branding. Sail midsoles and multi-colored outsoles finish off the look.
