These sneakers are definitely going to attract eyeballs as the icy blue and metallic silver dominate the majority of the sneaker.

With a retail price of just $110, these were definitely a pickup back in the day, when these were released.

One thing you’ll notice about the rest of the sneakers in this article, and the sneakers from the 90s and early 2000s is they were built a lot sturdier. People appreciated a solid sneaker much more, which contrasts with today where less is definitely more!

One more note: the reason the average resell price is N/A for this sneaker is that there simply aren’t many sales at all. There have been none on StockX for over 12 months and one pair listed on GOAT for $250. However, there are pairs listed for $130-$150 on eBay.

This sneaker is definitely more toned-down compared to the Air DT Max 96 Deion Sanders that we just saw.

With a mostly dark upper, this sneaker will blend into the outfit you choose. There are some lighter highlights, most noticeably the cream-colored design on the side and the white swoosh on the front that add detail to the shoe.

There are also hints of purple on the sole of the sneaker, which again add a splash of color and something different to an otherwise pretty simple sneaker.

Again there are little to no sales of this sneaker so information is hard to come by. We estimated retail of $120 based on other Nike Air Diamond Turf, but can’t 100% say that this pair cost exactly $120.

Nike Air DT Max ’96 ‘Deion Sanders’ Black Mica Green

  • Retail Price: $130
  • Average Resell Price: N/A
  • Colorway: Black/Mica Green-Volt
  • Style Code: 316408 004

To conclude this list we have another pair of the Air DT Max 96, a sneaker that Deion was obviously a fan of.

This is another toned-down sneaker when compared to the first pair, but the flashes of Mica Green add an interesting element to this sneaker. We don’t have a ton to say about this pair, other than there aren’t tons of sales and it seems like pairs like this, from the 90s and 2000s are waning on the market.

Our Thoughts

What comes to mind after seeing these sneakers from such a prominent athlete is how much sneakers have changed. New technology from massive companies like Nike and Adidas have allowed us to reimagine sneaker in a way we never could.

Comfort is key and performance has consistently improved over the last 20 or so years, and that’s huge for athletes. Nowadays, almost every big athlete has a sneaker deal, so they must be doing something right!

It will be really interesting to see how sneakers and athletes continue to innovate and improve in the coming years. One thing you can count on is that Six Figure Sneakerhead will be here to report on it!
