Jordan Brand last released the “Thunder” colorway’s Red version in 2021 and now they’re back with the Thunder in its original form. The Air Jordan 4 Retro Thunder release date is on May 13 for a retail price of $210 per pair.

Similar to the previous Lighting colorway, this Air Jordan 4 uses color blocking, but instead of yellow, it uses flaming red tones.

The sneaker’s top is mostly made of nubuck leather, with overlays on the heel, toes, and mudguards. The neck and side panels have mesh panels with vivid red backgrounds that go well with the corresponding plastic eyelet panels.

The tongues have matching black bottoms and matching black necks with “Flight” writing and white Jump-man insignia on them. The throats are laced in black.

The pattern is completed with black/red midsoles and black outsoles with another Jump-Man embossed on them. Another Jump-Man is also stamped on the heel tabs.

One of the most well-liked colors of the Air Jordan 4 was said to be making a comeback in 2023 back in August and had fans excited already.

The third generation of the Air Jordan 4 “Thunder” has now been officially shown. The shoe had its first debut in 2006 and had a vintage makeover in 2012.

Additionally, a “Red Thunder” variant that substituted a bright red for the regular “Tour Yellow” was released in 2021, and a reprint of the “Lightning” colorway from 2006 also reached the market.

This “Thunder” pair maintains its authenticity in its updated presentation, featuring an all-black nubuck upper with electrifying yellow accents.

A yellow midsole sits above a black rubber outsole to complete the design, while white accents can be seen at the Jump Man insignia on the tongue and heel.
