Yeezy Supply is back and this time, it’s a re-drop of an installment of the Yeezy Foam Runner. The Adidas Yeezy Foam Runner “Onyx” drops once again for YEEZY Day via Supply, and at select retailers for $90 with full family sizing available.

What is the Foam Runner?

The Yeezy Foam Runner is probably one of the most futuristic models that Yeezy Brand has released yet.

What’s been most surprising about the Foam Runner is that they have such low retail, but have really proven themselves valuable on the resell market.

The resell values for the Foam Runner are either $80 or $90 and you can sell your pair for over $200 depending on the color, size, and marketplace of your choosing.

Before we analyze the Foam Runner Onyx, we are going to take a look at a few other, similar, pairs and see how they perform on the sneaker resell market:

Yeezy Foam RNNR ‘Stone Sage’

  • Retail Price: $90
  • Average Resell: $186
  • Release Date: Friday, March 11th, 2022
  • Colorway: Stone Sage
  • Style Code: GX4472

The Stone Sage is probably the closest pair in terms of colors to the Onyx.

From the data above you’ll notice pretty low retail at $90, and an average resell of over double that. For a pair of sneakers that retails at below $100, getting double back in profit (before fees of course) is a reseller’s dream.

The Foam Runner itself is a very minimalist design for a sneaker and it’s only right that the most popular colorways are the simplest ones.

Yeezy Foam RNR ‘Desert Sand’

  • Retail Price: $80
  • Average Resell: $179
  • Release Date: Saturday, June 11th, 2022
  • Colorway: Desert Sand
  • Style Code: GV6843

The Adidas Yeezy Foam Runner “Desert Sand” colorway sports a light brown color scheme throughout the entirety of the foam body and according to both Kanye West as well as designer Steven Smith in 2019, the silhouette is made from harvested algae and then blended with an EVA material.

Both of the individuals also confirmed that the Yeezy Foam Runner is the first Adidas Yeezy to be made in the United States and is dressed with natural dyes.

This sneaker is again incredibly minimal and only retails for a mere $80 while reselling for over $175!

Yeezy Foam RNNR ‘MX Sand Gray’

  • Retail Price: $80
  • Average Resell: $253
  • Release Date: Saturday, December 11th, 2022
  • Colorway: MX Sand Gray
  • Style Code: GY3969

Here we have a much crazier and out-of-the-box colorway for the Yeezy Foam runner. The Sand Gray colorway blends shades of brown, blue, and a hint of pink in this shoe.

Despite the colorway, the Yeezy Foam RNNR ‘MX Sand Gray’ does fantastic on the resell market. With a retail of just $80, the sneaker resells for over $250!

It’s a bit surprising that this colorway sells for so much as it seems almost impossible to pair any outfit with, but that’s just how the game goes. Resell markets are unpredictable, but not impossible.

Estimated Resell Value

The current average resell value for the Yeezy Foam Runner Onyx is $178.

While a re-release will add pairs to the market, we don’t anticipate resell value to change that much, perhaps even increase a little with some new hype.

Frequently Asked Questions

What type of foam is used in the Yeezy runner?

Kanye West designed the Yeezy Foam Runner with no shoelaces, deliberately crafting a slip-on lifestyle silhouette that’s eco-friendly and comfortable. The one-piece foam upper showcases a/ porous construction that utilizes foam made from environmentally friendly algae.

Can I wear foam runners without socks?

Yes, you can wear Yeezy Foam Runner without socks on and they’ll look great but they might rub on the bare heel, so if you plan on walking a long distance, then putting socks on is always a good idea.

Should I size up on foam runners?

On Adidas’ website, they say that they run small and that you should go up half a size. Unfortunately, the Foam Runner does not come in half sizes. So, for full-size people, you should go with your true size if you have regular feet.

How can you tell Yeezys are fake?

Fake Yeezys come with a different logo size than the real ones. Their logos occupy a larger space on the sneakers where they are located. A fake Yeezy comes with a big and poorly done logo at the side of the shoe. It is probably the quickest way to distinguish a copied sneaker from the authentic one.

Is Yeezy still owned by Kanye?

Under the partnership with Adidas, West retains 100% ownership of his brand while having full creative control over the products released. In February 2015, a year and three months after the confirmation of the Adidas and Kanye West collaboration, the collaboration officially debuted.

Are Yeezy’s worth more than Jordan’s?

A lot of people prefer Jordans, not only because of their style but also because of their price. Some people call Yeezys ridiculously expensive and not worth the price. The cheapest Yeezy model on the market will cost you about $220, but the least-expensive Jordans will cost around $90.
