Michael Jordan traveled to Asia in 1996 and made his first trip to Japan with Nike to take part in the company’s “Nike Hoop Heroes” competition. This next Air Jordan 1 Low SE “Tokyo Vintage” release is inspired by a key memory from that endeavor: MJ played 1-on-1 with a little child sporting a UNC uniform.

The 6’6 guard wore a pair of Air Jordan 12s with lizard skin during the on-court duel, and the same feature is replicated on the Swooshes of the new AJ 1. The perforated toe boxes and quarter panels are made of buttery suede, and the forefoot overlays are dressed in a cool shade of blue for a subdued UNC-inspired flare.

The tongues, which reveal the inside foam, and the ball-and-wings insignia on the heels, which have been filled in with a golden yellow tint, are further highlights of the upper. The midsoles below have been given a pre-aged yellow exterior, adding to the shoes’ “Tokyo Vintage” moniker.

One of the newest releases, the Air Jordan 11, designed by Tinker Hatfield, will remix its classic “Cool Grey” color by using its low-top design in a new “Cement Grey” colorway.

With “White,” “University Blue,” and “Cement Grey” in harmony, the color combination presents a recognizable take on the Air Jordan 11 Low. The mesh top of the shoe favors white, as do the laces that come with the characteristic lacing system.

While a white midsole and an ice-transparent outsole are joined by the trim and customary patent leather mudguard in its eponymous color. Standard branding is present in blue and white, with blue Jumpman emblems at the heel and tongue adjacent to white allusions to the Air Jordan 11.

With another year comes a new lineup of Dunks, as sneakerheads have come to expect. As 2023 approaches, Nike has already started showcasing some of the iconic silhouette styles that have been produced for the next year. The most recent colorway to appear is an “ATL” colorway that honors Atlanta.

The Nike Dunk Low “ATL” serves the city as a follow-up to this year’s Clark Atlanta University Dunk and may be a part of a forthcoming line of shoes with city themes. In this quick first glimpse at the shoes, the top is decorated with red leather overlays, an orange transparent Swoosh on either side, and an orangish-red suede foundation.

The “ATL” inscription and a Swoosh on the lateral side of the heel counter complete the design. The Nike Dunk has had a great 2020 and a decent 2021 with sneakers that had great resale value. However, the Nike Dunks had a barrage of new releases in 2021 which killed some of the resale value. The Nike Dunk Low ATL resells for around $145 per pair but they do sell for decent resale prices.

From a financial perspective, Nike excels at catalyst marketing thanks to its impressive array of pop culture figures. Rapper G-Dragon from South Korea is one of the members hoping to grow his catalog with the Swoosh via his company PEACEMINUSONE.

The pair is getting ready to release a PEACEMINUSONE x Nike Kwondo 1 “Panda” colorway, which has recently been shown in official photos. The “King of K-pop” chooses a more daring makeover than his first Kwondo 1 incarnation, a tuxedo-like ensemble for this new makeup. The leather overlays, Swooshes, thick lace shrouds, bottoms, and wing-tip-toe boxes contrast with a solid black color while the base is dialed to a clean white.

The branding is carried over from the first release, with the aforementioned shrouds dividing into a PEACEMINUSONE hit on the left shoe and a Nike Sportswear logo on the right. The heels also have floral embroidery on them.

Nike is adding new, distinctive color combinations to its Dunk Low collection. For the warmer months of 2023, the forthcoming sneaker debuts in a striking and eye-catching new “Citron Pulse” hue. The color combination of the Nike Dunk Low “Citron Pulse” is light bone, citrus pulse, and sailor. On the overlays and the Swoosh, the citron notes are depicted in a vivid color that resembles a drab canary yellow.

The tongues and lining of the shoe are made of mesh, while the whole shoe is made of leather. The shoe’s foundation is a light bone hue, and the design is completed with a white midsole and citron outsole. On the secondary market, these kicks are worth around $130 per pair. Although that’s not a lot, many people would love a Nike Dunk Low in their collection.

The Air Jordan 1 High “Lucky Green,” which was initially released in 2009 as part of a “DMP” Pack, may be among the rare hues from MJ’s imprint that make a comeback in 2023. Although the Swoosh has a lot more in store for us this year, we are now given a close-up look at Run the Jewels’ SB Dunk High after its unveiling with its matching SB Dunk Low.  This colorway of the SB Dunk High captures the unrivaled excitement of Run the Jewels by combining a black tumbled leather base with unique fuchsia pony hair overlays.

Swooshes in black and golden dubrae with jewels lying on pink laces are another outside accent. Nike will likely unveil a number of new products and collaborate with businesses, athletes, and artists as the year-end draws near.
