The Best Sneakers To Resell In December 2022
We are almost at the end of 2022 and it is likely going to end with a bang. In this article, we go through the best sneakers to resell in December 2022.
This past year, we saw structural changes in the sneaker resale industry, as a lot of things will never be the same. The Dunks lost a lot of their resale hype, 068214" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">while Kanye x Adidas is no more. However, December will still likely be a banger so stay tuned as we go through the best sneakers to resell in December 2022.
Even after going through so many changes this year, the resale market is still as strong as ever, with multiple new potential hits as well. We also have quite a few exciting sneakers that were released in November of 2022 and resold for thousands, such as the DJ Khaled x Jordan Brand collaboration.
December 2022 is also quite a big month, and we have a lot to cover. Without further adieu, let’s get right to it!
Nike Dunk Low Black Chenille Swoosh
- Retail Price: $120
- Estimated Resell: $140
- Release Date: Friday, December 2nd, 2022
- Colorway: Grey Fog/Wolf Grey/Iron Grey/Black
- Style Code: DQ7683-001
The Nike Dunk Low comes in a plethora of shapes and sizes, and now, Nike releases a couple of plain Nike Dunks with Chenille Swooshes, as the moniker suggests. The other variant is purple.
These have smooth black leather on the toes, eye stays, and heel overlays, while white leather covers the perforated toe boxes, side panels, and collar underlays.
Light grey throats on the sneakers are wrapped up by traditional black laces and lead up to nylon tongues with black tags and white “Nike” branding.
Sock liners and interiors are also white, while the side panels feature chenille black Swooshes and silver-grey borders. Clean white Swooshes and black outsoles finish off the design.
For resale purposes, they likely won’t be anything crazy and will yield minor profits, but they look nice and would make for excellent personal cops.

Air Jordan 12 Black Taxi
- Retail Price: $200
- Estimated Resell: $230
- Release Date: Saturday, December 3rd, 2022
- Colorway: Black/Taxi
- Style Code: CT8013-071
No other colorway of the Air Jordan 12 that Jordan Brand has created throughout the years has had as much of an impact on the shoe’s history as the original “Taxi.”
It’s unusual to see a model be so committed to a single aesthetic, especially since other colors, like the “Wings,” “Reverse Taxi,” and the current “Black Taxi,” have all taken design cues from the “Taxi” color scheme.
After four years had gone since the last time the “Taxi” treatment struck the Air Jordan 12, the Air Jordan 12 Low Golf received it earlier this year. Instead of just reissuing the hue, a “Black Taxi” makeover is now forthcoming.
Yellow “Taxi” hits at the collar eyelets, tongue and heel branding, outsole details, and midfoot patches provide contrast to the all-black basis. Nubuck is positioned adjacent to a scaly leather on the top, which gets its typical form.
Then, black laces and a black sole unit complete this OG-inspired design by drawing attention to the yellow accents and making it the lone point of distinction.
The Air Jordan 12 has also had an interesting last couple of years with more releases and collaborations, which has slightly improved its resale value. These sneakers will likely resell for around $230 per pair on the secondary market.
Air Jordan 11 Cherry 2022
- Retail Price: $225
- Estimated Resell: $280
- Release Date: Saturday, December 10th, 2022
- Colorway: WHITE/VARSITY RED/BLACK
- Style Code: CT8012-116
The Christmas release of the Air Jordan 11 is going to be excellent this year. The Air Jordan 11 Cherry is quite perhaps the nicest new colorway of Jordan’s 11th trademark shoe that we’ve seen in a long time.
In 2022, the Air Jordan 11 has been keeping it smooth and steady! In the wake of the silhouette’s massive 2021, when the “Cool Grey” and “Animal Instinct” were supreme, Jordan Brand has been reserving other colorways.
Additionally, the AJ11 hybrids have received particular attention, and a “Concord” CMFT Low is already on the way. The Air Jordan 11 “Cherry,” which is now scheduled for release, has reemerged in new images with a possible time frame in December.
The Air Jordan 11 “Cherry” adheres to a well-known color and material combination that has been used on several Air Jordan 11s throughout the years.
White mesh and leather were used to make the top, and fabric eye stays were added as well. The 23 marking is visible through the red liner that has been applied to the ankle and to the heel.
The ice blue outsole, lateral ankle branding, and characteristic patent leather mudguard are the highlights.
These will likely be a good bet for resale as this is the best colorway in a long time. On the secondary market, expect a resale price tag of around $280 per pair.
Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low OG Black Phantom
- Retail Price: $150
- Average Resell: $1,000+
- Release Date: Thursday, December 15th, 2022
- Colorway: BLACK/PHANTOM-ALE BROWN-RACER BLUE-TEAM ORANGE
- Style Code: DM7866-001
We now get an official look at the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low OG SP “Black Phantom” which was just made public in preschool sizes.
The impending Christmas season release will carry on La Flame’s Cactus Jack x Nike/Jordan Brand collaboration partnership, which has already seen a number of early images.
The sleek black suede uppers of the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low OG SP “Black Phantom” depart from the customary earth-tone theme.
White stitching throughout, reverse Swooshes, traditional Swooshes at the medial sides, the “NIKE AIR” tongue tag, and Wings motifs at the back highlight the low-cut design.
On the tongue, medial side, and insoles of the shoe are Cactus Jack emblems in addition to a new bee pattern. Black sole components elevate the shoe, and white stitching maintains the contrast pattern on the uppers.
Each pair of shoes will have unique packaging and three lace combinations for various wear styles.
These will likely be one of the biggest releases of the year, as are most Travis Scott x Jordan Brand sneakers. That usually translates into a resale value of over $1,000 on the secondary market.
They have been sold for as high as $2,400 per pair on the secondary market!
Air Jordan 1 High OG Twist 2.0
- Retail Price: N/A
- Estimated Resell: $300
- Release Date: Thursday, December 22nd, 2022
- Colorway: Medium Grey/Black-White
- Style Code: DZ2523-001
There are still many exciting things to look forward to in 2022, even with just over a month left in the year. After the debut of the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Lost & Found,” Jordan Brand will have a busy week, and sneakerheads will have a long list of releases to choose from before the year is up.
In addition, a second Air Jordan 1 High OG will be released in December in an enhanced “Twist” hue that stands out for having pony hair on the overlays.
The new appearance has been given the moniker “Twist 2.0,” drawing influence from its 2019 predecessor that commemorated the Kentucky Derby.
The 2019 version was a huge hit and, on the secondary market, has an average resale price of a whopping $700 per pair.
Insiders with early pairs have already provided images of this design, which has a subtle variation on the original hue. The sneaker’s foundation is made of grey leather, and its top is mostly covered with black pony hair overlays, especially at the Swooshes.
The tongue, on the other hand, chooses, this time a black mesh foundation with grey branding to match the laces.
The regular Air Jordan 1 sole unit then has a traditional white stitched midsole with a black rubber outsole finish, while a metallic silver Wings emblem appears on the lateral collar.
Although I do not expect these sneakers to be worth as much as the previous versions, they still probably will yield very decent profits, an estimated resale value of $300 per pair.
Air Jordan 13 Black UNC
- Retail Price: $200
- Estimated Resell: $280
- Release Date: Thursday, December 29th, 2022
- Colorway: BLACK/UNIVERSITY BLUE/BLACK
- Style Code: DJ5982-041
Its historical significance cannot be overstated, even if the Air Jordan 13 may not enjoy the same level of popularity as some of the single-digit models from Michael Jordan’s self-titled line.
The black panther-inspired style has been popular over the previous two years in a number of unoriginal combinations with varying degrees of success.
Tinker Hatfield’s 11th addition to the Air Jordan series debuted in a “Black” and “University Blue” colorway that broadens the University of North Carolina (UNC) “homages” before the Christmas season.
This impending Air Jordan 13 Retro has a color pattern that works for both the present and the early 2000s.
This Air Jordan 13 Retro, known as the “UNC” variant, is available in white, university blue, and black. The shoe is entirely blacked out, but for the highlights in university blue, and has original colorblocking similar to the vintage “Bred.”
All three materials—tumbled leather, ballistic 3M mesh, and suede on the tongue—are available in black. University Blue replaces the red that is usually present, and a sole made entirely of black completes the look.
These sneakers will likely yield pretty decent resale prices on the secondary market. I expect an average gross profit of around $80 per pair as they are currently being sold for north of $300.
Air Jordan 2 OG Chicago 2022
- Retail Price: $200
- Estimated Resell: $300+
- Release Date: Thursday, December 22nd, 2022
- Colorway: WHITE/VARSITY RED/BLACK
- Style Code: DX2454-106
dressed in a uniform of Varsity Red, White, and Black. To give off a “Chicago” feel, this Air Jordan 2 has a smooth white and lizard-skin leather upper combined with Black trimming and Red contrasting accents.
The design is completed with the traditional Wings emblem on the tongue, heels with the Nike logo, and the original Wings box and packaging.
I also do expect some decent resale from these sneakers, and they will likely yield over $100 in gross profits.
Adidas Yeezy 350 V2 Carbon Beluga
- Retail Price: $220
- Estimated Resell: $300+
- Release Date: Saturday, December 31st, 2022
- Colorway: Carbon Beluga
One of the most significant partnerships in the history of the sneaker industry has unquestionably been the one between Kanye West and Adidas.
Together, they’ve unveiled a slew of fresh sneaker models, but if we were, to sum up their success in just one game-changing shoe, it would be the YEEZY BOOST 350 V2.
It has been Ye’s most successful and well-liked model to date, and a new Reflective “Dark Beluga” version of it has recently been introduced.
We can now get a better look at the high-visibility shoes after they first appeared in May. As you may guess from the name, West returns to the well-known “Beluga” theme here, but he dims the lighting and uses a darker color scheme.
While the Primeknit top is constructed with a mixture of charcoal grey and black wavy patterns, orange sprinkles, and black “SPLY-350” marking, the side stripe retains its vivid orange filling and branding.
The standard black-tinted ribbed midsole section, which contains the BOOST cushioning technology, is located underneath all of that.
Like these originals, these will also likely be very profitable on the secondary market.
Adidas Yeezy Slide Granite
- Retail Price: $70
- Estimated Resell: $170+
- Release Date: Saturday, December 31st, 2022
- Colorway: Granite
- Style Code: ID4132
It’s time for a fresh hue of everyone’s go-to slip-on after endless restocks of previous favorites, and the grey YEEZY Slide “Granite” is the next to join the famous linage.
Images reveal a familiar-yet-new all-grey pattern.
This pair seems to be a solid light grey color that closely resembles the aforementioned release, albeit it is not quite the well-known charcoal of the renowned “Onyx” colorway.
It comes with a brand-new textured exterior and the usual level of ultra-comfort. And if the pattern holds, you may anticipate seeing them in full-family sizes.
I expect these to be very popular as well. On the secondary market, expect gross profits of around $100 per pair or more.
With that, we simultaneously finish off Yeezy as a brand and the year!
