Travis Scott x Jordan: The Match To Make

Numerous international singers, designers, and sportsmen have worked with Nike.

With A-list celebrities like Michael Jordan, Drake, and rapper Travis Scott, they have launched multiple classic collections.

Young La Flame has made sure to supply the heat over the past several years with a number of shoe collabs, even if the size, scale, or SKUs connected with his name don’t match up to Mike, LeBron, or his mentor Kanye.

Although he was first signed to Reebok during his mixtape comeback, his collaboration with Vector laid the groundwork for the endorsement work he would go on to undertake with Nike, Helmet Lang, and of course Jordan Brand.

Travis Scott’s first pair of Nike sneakers were the VaporMax, not the Air Jordan 4 or the Air Force 1. As a response to Adidas’ Ultraboost in some ways, the company released the shoe in 2017 using technologies developed by Yeezy design mastermind Steven Smith over a 20-year period.

The VaporMax was designed as a fashion accessory with cutting-edge visible technology, not as a serious running shoe.

Travis was chosen to be the shoe’s face.

Until now, Travis Scott’s debut collaboration with Jordan Brand has been his most original. His first real collaboration was on the far less well-known Trunner, as opposed to the Retro versions for which he has since become famous.

The shoe is half-trainer, half-runner, as its name implies, and among Jordan aficionados, it has long been considered somewhat of a cult favorite. Scott’s pastel-accented version of the pair was never sold in shops, although it did appear in the Fall of 2017 at NYC thrift shop Beacon’s Closet.

The unique design wasn’t necessarily a portent of things to come, but it marked the beginning of a successful association with Jordan Brand.

Travis would get the opportunity to work on his first Air Jordan as a follow-up to his first Air Force 1 from 2017.

A homage to the former Houston Oilers NFL team, who wore the colors from 1960 to 1996 while competing in H-Town, was made using the baby blue Air Jordan 4 with red hits.

In the months that followed this release, friends and family versions of the 4s with purple suede uppers or tortoiseshell straps also appeared, with the purple version quickly rising to the top of the list. They never materialized, despite the great anticipation of many.

Pairs now trade for five figures on the secondary market. We all had a chance to get the blue pair, at least.

Over the years, Travis Scott and Air Jordan sneakers have become one of the most sought-after on the primary and secondary markets. A huge reason for that is the scarcity factor coupled with the hype factor of Jordan Brand and Travis Scott.

Let’s go over the top 7 Travis Scott Jordan sneakers to resell that are currently available on the secondary market!

Travis Scott Air Jordan 6 British Khaki

  • Style Code: DH0690-200

The Air Jordan 6 British Khaki was released last year and was the second Air Jordan 6 colorway to release with Travis Scott. The construction of these shoes includes a light brown suede, which is typically leather on most models, as was first seen on Travis Scott himself.

The majority of the uppers are made of “British Khaki” suede, while the necks are a deeper brown color that slightly stands out thanks to brilliant scarlet Jump-Man branding.

The tongues, lace toggles, and heel hoops—which include a Bright Crimson strip—are all covered in translucent grey overlays.

At the lateral sides of the collars, side pockets are back, and the side panels are likewise perforated.

The “Nike Air” and “Cactus Jack” insignia in red can be seen on the heels, which adds to the design’s contrast. Tan midsoles with translucent overlays and semi-transparent co-branded outsoles finish the look.

On the secondary market, as expected, these kicks are reselling for double their retail prices at over $440 per pair. Although this used to be higher, prices have come down slightly but for the most part, these are still highly profitable releases.

The Air Jordan 6 itself is not a release that resells for a lot of money so a Travis Scott collaboration that resells for double its retail price is still very impressive.

Travis Scott came back for his third partnership with Air Jordan, giving the Air Jordan VI model another unique flare.

His partnerships have been among Jordan Brand’s most well-liked releases ever since the debut of the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 High Top shoes.

The rapper-turned-fashion designer adds fresh aspects to the Jordan VI that is unlike anything else ever designed, continuing the practice of reimagining the traditional form.

The Travis Scott x Air Jordan VI “Cactus Jack” launched in a mostly olive colorway with a variety of color highlights and embellishments to distinguish the show and add to its enormous excitement.

A glow-in-the-dark sole, a storage pocket on the outside ankle of each shoe, and infrared accents on the heel and lace lock will all be present.

The “Cactus Jack” trademark is also prominently displayed on the shoe. The rear of the shoes has the infrared-colored Cactus Jack emblem on one and the Nike Air logo on the other.

The logo is also covered by the recognizable Jump Man emblem on the tongue (which is also visible from the inside of the shoe).

One of the stash pockets on each shoe also has a secondary Cactus Jack emblem that can be seen when it is opened thus finishing off the design.

On websites such as StockX, these sneakers are worth almost $600 which is thrice their actual retail price tag!

  • Release Date: Saturday, June 9th, 2018
  • Style Code: 308497-406

The rapper’s own adlib, “la flame,” is the only way to accurately characterize the Travis Scott Air Jordan 4 Retros. The “Cactus Jack” variant of these Jordan 4s was created in association with rapper Travis Scott.

A vibrant redesign of the famous Air Jordan model with additional branding is exactly what we expected to see from this explosive partnership that sort of is reminiscent of the revered Eminem x Air Jordan.

The shoe has waxed laces, a bright red inside, and a paneled baby blue nubuck top with black netting underlays. The shoe’s speckled wings, Travis Scott’s “Cactus Jack,” and Jordan Brand’s Jumpman insignia can be seen on the tongue, heel, and insoles, respectively.

On the secondary market, these shoes cost a staggering $1,000+ on websites such as StockX and GOAT. Only a true legendary sneaker can be worth north of $1,000 when it retailed for only a fraction of that.

I do not think anyone would disagree with us having this shoe on the list.

This anticipated release flips the “Dark Mocha” hue introduced in 2019. The shoe’s color combination for the summer was “Sail/University Red/Ridgerock.”

The Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low Reverse Mocha has high-quality white leather overlays to contrast the light brown leather foundation. In addition to the customary white Swooshes on the inner sides, the medials have off-white reverse Swooshes related to “Cactus Jack” footwear partnerships.

Additional intricacy is added with “NIKE AIR” tongue tags, Cactus Jack logos on the tongue and medial sides, Jordan Wings motifs on the back, and patterned insoles.

The shoe’s aesthetic is completed with coordinating sock liners, off-white laces, corresponding midsoles, and contrasting brown rubber outsoles.

It came as no surprise to us either that these sneakers sold out instantly and now cost multiple times their resale value on the secondary market. In fact, it has even been sold for north of $2,000 on StockX. Currently, the average selling price is around $1, 300 per pair.

Collaboration between Travis Scott and Jordan Brand on the Air Jordan 1 Low, which borrows comparable styling from the high-top model, is one of the most sought-after ever.

On the shoe’s lateral side, a large backward-facing Swoosh is boldly shown, while the medial side has a standard Swoosh.

The top is dominated by black and dark mocha nubuck, with a few accents of university red creating a wonderful contrast.

The “Cactus Jack” emblem by Travis Scott is discretely positioned on the shoe’s tongue, medial side panel, and sock liner. The Air Jordan Wings are expertly sewn on the right shoe’s back heel tab, whereas Scott’s crudely sketched portrait is placed on the left shoe’s back heel tab. Sail midsoles and brown outsoles finish off the look.

On websites such as StockX, you can pick these up for over $1,700 per pair!

Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 High Mocha

  • Retail Price: $175
  • Average Resell: $1,800
  • Release Date: Tuesday, 5th, November 2019
  • Style Code: CD4487-100
Travis Scott Jordan 1 High Mocha Quarter View

The Air Jordan 1 was the first item to be made available as part of Travis Scott’s historic relationship with Nike. The traditional guidelines for the Air Jordan 1 design are broken here by Travis Scott. The side Swooshes are first turned around so that each tail faces the toe.

Woven tongue tags are relocated and sewn to the side of the tongue rather than the top. Additionally, a stash pocket is concealed under the collar. A unique design befitting of a unique creator.

The Travis Scott edition of the Air Jordan 1 has a white leather upper, mocha suede overlays, and black leather Swooshes that are inverted.

The natural tones of the design are somewhat contrasted with red accents on the tongue. A debossed Cactus Jack emblem on the heel gives them a personalized look. The pattern is then finished off with a yellowed midsole and matching Mocha outsole.

On the secondary market, these cost over $1,800 per pair, which is more than ten times its resale value!

Fragment x Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 High SP

  • Retail Price: $200
  • Average Resell: $3,200
  • Release Date: Thursday, July 29th, 2021
  • Style Code: DH3227-105

In The Fragment Design x Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Retro High, two of Jordan Brand’s most significant creative collaborators come together.

The final design features Scott’s iconic inverted Swoosh in striking black leather on the classic sneaker’s white tumbled leather upper. The black nylon collar has a concealed compartment similar to the rapper’s 2019 AJ1 collaboration.

Hits of contrasting military blue land on the heel overlay, collar flap, and toe box. On the right shoe of the latter, the lightning bolt emblem of Fragment is imprinted, and on the left, the Cactus Jack happy face of La Flame.

A normal Nike Air woven tongue tag, a supplementary Cactus Jack tongue tag, and the iconic Jordan Wings emblem embossed on the lateral ankle serve as additional branding components. The shoe has a retro look thanks to its pre-yellowed sides and rubber cup sole.

These sneakers are resold on StockX for a whopping $3,200+ per pair! With that, we finish this list with a bang and perhaps one of the most valuable sneakers out there!
