Stick around as we go through all the details!

Jordan Brand continues to innovate and has over 30 signature sneakers with a special edition shoe for almost every model. Although the later models may be better for basketball, the former ones are highly profitable and hyped, often used for street fashion.

Over the years, Jordan Brand has also released a few very limited shoes that only a lucky few have ever copped up. Before we get into the list, let me walk you over Jordan Brand’s current state in 2023 as well as sneakers as the whole.

Is The Resale Market for Air Jordans Slowing?

No one is really “moving away” from shoes at the moment. Although they remain a staple, the larger brands have lost market share, which has reduced the resale value of many of the most well-liked silhouettes:

Panda Dunks, for instance, are still one of the most discussed sneakers on social media after selling for as high as $350 on resale sites as recently as 2021, but they are now only selling for an average of $183.

Expect Nike to be aggressive, as well as Adidas, in 2023. These massive sportswear companies have a tonne of unsold inventory that they would want to sell, even if it means launching an aggressive marketing campaign.

However, the customer bases of Nike and Adidas are being eaten up by companies like New Balance, Salomon, Asics, and On.

The few companies that have previously dominated the sneaker market should be terrified by the variety of what consumers are ready to wear.

According to a year-end report from the resale site, Salomon was the fastest-growing shoe brand in 2022 on StockX, with sales increasing by 2,000 percent year over year.

Maybe there won’t be as much enthusiasm for ultra-rare Jordans or purposefully limited Nike collaborations. There will undoubtedly be less focus on Adidas, which is still reeling from the cancellation of its Ye collaboration.

However, some Jordan sneakers will continue to be as valuable as ever, particularly the ones that are on this list.

With that out of the way, let’s get right to it!

In order to raise money for charity, NBC’s Grimm teamed up with Nike, Tinker Hatfield, and the OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital for two limited editions Air Jordan 10 designs. On Friday, April 15th, exclusively on eBay, four pairs of each colorway of the “Black” and “White” Air Jordan 10 were made available.

Nick Burkhardt was entrusted with defending mankind against otherworldly beings in the NBC drama “Grimm.”

The Grimmster Endowment at OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital provides children and families with essential monetary support affiliated with uncompensated care, travel, lodging, and other services essential to the care and well-being of its patients.

This goal was slightly more concrete at the Grimm Gala, a fundraising event held by the show’s cast and crew.

The story behind the Grimm Gala X Air Jordan 10

Tinker Hatfield, VP of Creative Concepts at NIKE, Inc., created two Nike-donated unique “Grimm” Air Jordan 10 shoes just for the gala and eBay auctions, which significantly advanced the cause.

The women’s version is bright White with a soft fur collar lining, while the all-Black men’s version has ultra-premium leather and a herringbone collar lining.

According to Hatfield, “We designed these shoes to express the duality that exists in the universe the show has created and in the lives of the kids receiving treatment at OHSU Doernbecher.”

“The initiative is dear to many Nike employees, and each year it makes us feel good to be able to contribute to the hospital’s and The Grimmster Endowment’s fundraising efforts.”

The endowment increased by almost $386,000 thanks to that year’s gala.

Four pairs of each “Grimm” Air Jordan 10 colorway were offered for sale on eBay by the Doernbecher Foundation, with all earnings going to the Grimmster Endowment. On Friday, April 15, the auctions started at 9 a.m. Pacific Time. The first bid was $1,000 USD.

The Player Exclusive Jordans that are tailored for you is one of the benefits of being chosen by Michael Jordan to promote Brand Jordan, and arguably no one’s customized Jordans are more highly prized or in demand than Quentin Richardson’s.

For the New York Knicks, QRich, as he is known, plays a variety of positions, which enables him to benefit from Player Exclusives like this Air Jordan VIII Retro in White, Blue, and Orange, complete with “Q23” embroidered on the shoe’s upper.

These kicks are extremely hyped but also extremely limited, as only a handful of people ever got their hands on them.

Only 24 of them were ever produced, and they currently are valued at over $6,000 per pair on the secondary market.

Some of the most costly Air Jordans are developed in association with well-known hip-hop artists, while others were created to support Hollywood motion pictures.

To coincide with the premiere of Transformers: The Last Knight, the fifth entry in the highly successful Transformers film series, the Air Jordan 5 Retro Transformers shoes were created in 2017.

The Transformers actor Mark Wahlberg collaborated closely with Nike to produce this distinctive style, which was influenced by the vintage Air Jordan 5.

They have red, blue, and gold accents in addition to the number 84, which alludes to the year when the first Transformers cartoon was released.

Their worth is largely attributable to the fact that Nike created a small batch exclusively for the Transformers movie cast and crew.

Given that they now cost $52,900 each, the sale of the Air Jordan 5 Retro Transformers didn’t significantly reduce Mark Wahlberg’s wealth, making them a wise investment for those who can buy a pair.

The Air Jordan created by artist Dave White was created for charity, like the majority of the very limited edition shoes on this list.

Dave Frank, the Jordan Brand’s art director, allegedly initially got in touch with White in 2008 to ask him to create a unique design for the Air Jordan I.

Black, white, red, grey, and the cement pattern were the initial hues for the Air Jordan I, but White also opted to add some of his own touches.

White created 23 pairs of the unique Air Jordan Is, and the profits from the sale were given to Inglewood High School in Los Angeles and WINGS for the Future.

Over $23,000 was generated for the charity when each pair of shoes sold for a little over $1,000 during the 2011 NBA All-Star Game.

A retail version of the Dave White x Air Jordan Is was only made available by Nike in a small quantity a few months after the 23 pairs were sold.

These sneakers feature an attractive overall color scheme with a golden front covering the toes and the midsoles while stars in white and gold cover the side panels. Rears feature red stripes, whole yellow tongue tags, and golden Jump-Man branding provides additional detail.

Navy midsoles finish off the design.

These sneakers are so profitable they have even been resold for as high as $18,000 per pair!

For a limited-edition collaboration on the Air Jordan 4 Retro, Jordan Brand joined up with Eminem and Carhartt.

This pair of shoes was created to celebrate Shady Records’ 15th anniversary and was made available in black and shiny silver. featuring a black-based Carhartt upper, silver embellishments, and the Eminem logo all throughout, and a full transparent gum sole to complete the look.

Mid-November 2015 saw an extremely limited release, with all earnings going to The Marshall Mathers Foundation.

Despite the lack of release information, sources currently state that a 2023 collaboration between Eminem, Carhartt, and Nike SB will be released.

According to rumors, a black Nike SB Dunk Low will be made of durable materials that are inspired by Carhartt’s history of making workwear.

The shoe’s design is also anticipated to have subtle co-branding components, akin to Eminem’s 2015 Jordan Brand collaboration release.

Although extremely sought after, these sneakers were only released in 10 pairs (that’s it!). Although more we produced and made it available to Eminem’s family later on, you can still see how extremely limited they were. Enough to make any collector salivate at the slightest glance.

They have been sold recently for as high as $23,000, while the highest auction price was over $30,000.

Travis Scott joined forces once again with Michael Jordan and Nike to create the Air Jordan Retro Travis Scott Olive shoes.

The majority of these pricey Air Jordan sneakers are olive in color, as the name would imply, with black laces and a silver Jump Man insignia in the center of the tongue.

These shoes have several more black accents, such as highlights lining the sole’s edge.

In addition to the Cactus Jack and Air Jordan inner patches, the olive part itself is crafted from nubuck for a lovely, soft feel.

They also have leather lining, TPU lacing wings, and underlays of black netting.

Although you won’t need Travis Scott’s wealth to buy a pair of these pricey Air Jordans, at $25,000, they’re undoubtedly out of most sneaker collectors’ price range.

The Jordan 4 Retro Travis Scott Purple shoes are another pricey Nike Air Jordan model that justifies its high cost in part by its association with a well-known hip-hop artist as well as with its limited production.

A classic Air Jordan is crafted in this Friends and Family version from a purple suede base, black grid mesh, and matte lacewings.

The shoe has a modern look, semi-transparent eye stays, a translucent sole with air padding, and the branding for Scott and Cactus Jack.

However, Nike also produced an extra 1000 pairs of shoes, which were manufactured expressly for Travis Scott’s friends and family and made accessible on their website.

The $24,470 price tag is equivalent to a night at one of the priciest hotels in the world, making them an exclusive Air Jordan shoe due to their limited supply.

Recently, the Jordan 4 Retro Travis Scott Purple shoes have made a reappearance, and a reissued pair can be purchased for less than $200.

For example, the Air Jordan 4 Retro Eminem Encore shoes are among the priciest pairs of footwear to carry the Air Jordan name and were created in association with major players from fields other than basketball.

In 2017, Eminem teamed up with StockX to raffle off the Air Jordan 4 Retro Eminem Encore units, which was first introduced in 2005.

The money was donated to the Marshall Mathers Foundation, and as a result of the well-known fundraising initiative, the model has subsequently increased in value.

There are only 23 pairs in circulation, with the most expensive pair going for $24,133. The average price is a little over $22,000.

The Air Jordan 4 Retro Eminem Encore, which has a dark blue and black color scheme with a grey sole, was developed to commemorate the release of Slim Shady’s “Encore” album.
